I recently chose La Tea Da's to cater my wedding in Charlotte. I had a very small group, 26 ppl including me and my now husband. My husband is Brazilian and they were able to help us create a menu that mixed Brazilian cuisine and Southern cusines together that was so delicious it was the main talking point of my wedding. The chef that they have is new and he is creative, smart and very talented. You won't find food this delicious from most catering companies. It wasn't basic or simple. I also worked with them to pick tables, chairs, flatware and glasses for the wedding at Party Reflections. Everything was delivered easily and correctly. The setup was flawless and they created a simple, elegant tablescape exactly as I planned with no questions asked: something I really appreciated on my hectic wedding day! The service of alcohol, passed appetizers and entrees was smooth and professional. Finally, the weather turned rough (did I mention it was outdoors in 90 degrees?) and began a torrential downpour. The staff sacrificed themselves to get all important items (food and linens) into the house or our shed. Our guests are STILL raving about the food at our August wedding. One of the most important parts of the wedding for us was the food—and Janet and her team truly brought their A-game! We’ve been to our fair share of weddings with they typical dry protein, vegetable, and a starch plates. We wanted none of that. Janet was able to take our vision of an upscale tasty home-cooked southern theme and turn it into everything we asked for and more. With 100ish guests, we had passed hors d'oeuvres and 3-4 plating stations (plus my personal request for ice cream) all presented in such a beautiful and creative way and on budget. It’s all about the details with La-tea-da’s. And even our pickiest eaters were impressed with the quality of the food and service. We changed our menu items a few times and Janet was always so flexible and easy-going about every little change, and offered great suggestions for us along the way. She even packed us a huge doggy bag after the wedding—such a nice touch since you’re usually running around greeting guests and barely eating on your own wedding day. 14 years ago I had my rehearsal dinner at La-Tea-Da's (when they still had a facility for this). It was fantastic!

Thank goodness I remembered them when looking for a caterer for a pool party we had on 7/29/23 (100+ people)! Valerie was EXTREMELY helpful and flexible with the planning and gave me a lot of great advice.

The food was outstanding! My guests commented frequently about how good everything was. YUM!

Greta and Tanner worked so well in setting up everything with somewhat limited space. They then proceeded to take charge of everything that needed doing, even chopping fruit and setting up and refilling things that were technically not even their responsibility. They enabled me to put my all of my attention on my guests with no worries about food and drink. They were also attentive and helpful to the guests themselves. Before they left they transferred items to my platters and left plenty of To Go boxes for guests to take leftovers. Very appreciated by my husband and me and our guests!
