Magic Rugs — Local services in Charlotte

I live locally and recently moved into a new home that is requiring a lot of new rugs. I googled rug shops in Charlotte and came across Magic Rugs. The reviews have been great, along with their selection (new and vintage rugs)and quality, so I decided to check them out. On the way to the shop I passed an interior design/decor store and decided to stop in to look at their rug selection. I found one and fell in love with it, however they were asking close to $3600 just for an 8x11. I decided to pass and headed on over to Magic Rugs. Once I got there, I saw the same rug but in a smaller size. The owner stated that he could have the rug made to an 8x11 (needed that size for dining room), but it would just take some time to be made. The cost was also MUCH less than the decor store as well. I started to look around and found a couple of rugs that would be perfect for our living room. They let me take a couple of rugs home to try it out in my space. Our living room lighting is off so a lot of rugs don’t look like the color we have been looking for once we get them in the space.Needless to say, I took them back and they let me keep trying out new rugs for the space. NOT ONCE did they ever seem annoyed that I was back exchanging rugs for what felt like the 10th time. The customer service at this shop is amazing and they genuinely just want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This company is AMAZING! They (Matthew in particular) have gone above and beyond in helping me find just the right rugs - in person, through emails, texts, and phone calls. Matthew is very personable. I initially found Magic Rugs online, but was thrilled to visit their showroom while on a trip in Charlotte, NC. There are stacks and stacks; hundreds of beautiful hand knotted rugs of every size and color here. It didn't matter how deep down the stack a rug was, they quickly folded and re-stacked and refolded rug after rug to enable us to see every rug we wanted to see. The prices are as amazing as the options! I am an interior designer and I was so impressed with their inventory and their customer service that upon returning home, I ordered six rugs for a client. Coordinating that many rugs into one large home is tricky, but Matthew continued sending pictures and emails of rug options available until we found exactly what we needed. The rugs were very neatly packaged and shipped directly to the home. Finally seeing the rugs in person was such a treat. Knowing that a photograph is never the same as seeing them in person, I had to trust Matthew's judgement a bit as far as color tones and vibrancy, and he did not disappoint. Updating 6-14-21 Just received my fourth rug from Magic Rugs. 10x13 Vintage Mashad. Absolutely, ONCE AGAIN, the rug far exceeds my expectations. Confirming what I have written before. It remains true. This company continues to rock my world with another extraordinary piece of art for my home. Thank you all.

In 2020 I wrote: I have purchased two rugs this year - one in January, one in February, online. Probably been looking for months and months. It was a great learning experience discovering the art of the Persian rug. And as it happened after a very exhaustive search I returned back to Magic Rugs each time to make the purchase, with delight and satisfaction. I know the price was excellent and upon delivery of each rug the quality and beauty was confirmed. Both carpets were between 35-50 years of age and they were cleaned immaculately.
