Simpson's Produce — Local services in Charlotte

Simpsons produce/kings drive farmers market is amazing!!! I work for the local children's hospital in charlotte and Norman donated over 13 pumpkins, apples, and his time to us to make sure that some of our patients were having an awesome day! Everyone there was very accommodating and went above and beyond for all of us. We felt nothing but genuine kindness while we were there!

I am trying to get ahold of the owner Norman, since the farmers market is closed for the season. We have some thank you gifts to give him for his generosity. Does anyone know a phone number or mailing address that I could get in touch with the owner or anyone from Simpsons produce now that the season has...

I visited recently from out of town and was blown away that people consider this a farmers market...because it most certainly is not. It completely undermines the purpose of the farmers market. There are a FEW local vendors that offer items from their home. Most of this outdoor grocery store is made up of vendors offering the same goods from the same out-of-state distributors. They remove the produce from the shipping containers and are basically glorified produce workers at a grocery store. Save your money and time, and either find an actual farmers market or buy your food from Florida at the grocery store for a lot less. Two stars, not to discount the few...

My favorite summertime sandwich has always been a BLT—is is just me or was anyone else disappointed in their tomatoe produce? Tomatoes were not vine ripened. They were mealy inside. No better that buying from grocery store. I tried about 4 different times purchasing tomatoes through summer but each time no different. Most recent visit was for apples. I even asked employee before I purchased them if they were crisp and not mushy. He told me what varieties to purchase. ALL of them were mushy. I won’t be back. I want true farm...
