Wong's Bowling Supply — Local services in Charter Oak

We just visited (March 7, 2025) and purchased two beginner bowling bowls. We're not new to bowling (been bowling several years); we just hadn't purchased our own balls. So glad we came here. After looking at local companies that sold bowling balls, and had consistently great reviews, we settled on Wongs Bowling Supply. From the time we entered until the time we made our purchase it was a positive experience. Mr Wong is a friendly person and in our conversation with him, we learned he has been in this business for over 50 years, yes, five decades! That's longer than a lot of bowling ball sellers have been alive. It shows in this experience level and what he recommends. He won't try to upsell you or get you a ball you don't need. He will sell you what you need and he will clearly explain why. A very knowledgeable Man and is the epitome of customer service. I'm a stickler for awesome customer service. He does things the right way with good old fashioned customer service, a thing which is sorely lacking in customer service nowadays. Writing this months later while bowling. My husband and I got balls, shoes, and bags back in January and had a great experience with Wong! Very patient and meticulous in sizing our hands for our balls. He steered us away from more expensive equipment and towards equipment suited to our levels.

When it turned out that the thumb hole for my husband's ball was slightly small due to swelling while playing, Wong fixed it right away when we were back in town in April and we've had no problems since!

My family was looking to have bowling balls drilled and purchasing new bowling balls. We came to Mr. Wong by last minute, and it ended up being a blessing, an overall wonderful experience. Never had such a wonderful experience with purchasing and measuring my hand for the holes to be drilled. So detailed and precise.
