WaBa Grill — Restaurant in Covina

I used to frequent the Rancho Cucamonga location for years and that location was always great, never missed an order, and the food quality was always great. Service was amazing and I enjoyed having lunch there.

Here, it is nearly the opposite. The main issue is that they (and this is serious) forget to add the half-o-cado to my orders, and I've had that happen on, no joke here, over half my orders. They have always charged the $1.99 and less than half my orders have had the half-o-cado with them. The even better part about this is that this has happened with EVERY employee that works there during lunch time on the weekdays. So it hasn't happened with only one employee.

The chicken is very inconsistent. Sometimes dry, sometimes even warm, but rarely hot & fresh off the grill. The flavor and tenderness reflect that.

The veggies and rice are generally decent, although the rice servings do vary and aren't consistent on every visit.

I've been in the restaurant industry for years, I know how it all works, and I suspect this location can get so slow that these workers can lose their attention. It happens rather often.

Otherwise, with the prevalence of forgotten half-o-cados on orders, yet still charging for them, I'd imagine the managers or franchise owner direct the employees as such. Because they have omitted the avocado more times than they have put it on my order.

I love their food but this is the second and last time I will order from them. I have ordered online for curbside pick up. Each time I have called and gone to voicemail immediately. I know they aren't busy because I am right in front of the door. I finally went in and showed my email confirmation and was handed my cold food. I asked if their phone was working. She said yes. I called the number that is given to let them know you are there for curbside. She listened and said she was sorry and the manager wasn't there. Like I said, good food but...

Well I ordered my food and then I watched the lady at the register go prepare the food as well she did not wash her hands she did not put gloves on like the guy in the back already had on I watched her put her fingers in the bowl holding it with her thumb inside the bowl that she was making , once again she did not wash her hands how disgusting just from handling money to handling food like that something has to be done this is ridiculous good way to spread germs and make people sick, definitely my first visit at this location and...
