We were shopping today for a refrigerator at the Hixson, TN location of Best Buy. Earlier in the day we worked with Garrett who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Later the same day we decided to make the purchase but Garett had left for the day. We found another employee (name unknown) who seemed disinterested but went with us to the counter to make the purchase. We were asked about an additional tech plan for additional warranty protection and a lady named Christy tried to explain what this involved. We had been told earlier that there was free delivery and a $40 haul away fee. Then when making the purchase we were told there was a $240 fee for delivery / haul away but that would be waived if we bought a $199 tech plan. After we were told the $199 policy covered everything including a replacement unit if needed, we then read through the terms only to find out there were additional service fees not mentioned previously. When we asked why there were additional fees if the $199 covered everything, Christy became almost agitated and her explanation made no sense whatsoever. After we tried to get a better explanation, she became rude and we told them we would not move forward with the purchase. They both just turned their backs and walked off without saying anything. Read moreTried to get a radar detector hardwired. I showed exactly what I wanted to the guy working there and he said he could do it no problem but that he was booked and to come back in 2 days. I even scheduled an appointment in his appointment book. I did just that. There was a lady there this time. First of all, she wasn't even in the mobile installation bay and I waited around there for 10 minutes before I drove around to the front and finally got service. Then she acted like it was such a chore for her to actually have to get out of her seat and do work. I ignored all of that and showed her EXACTLY what I showed the other guy. She then proceeded to tell me that there would still be wires showing. I then showed her again how they could be hidden and then she proceeded to give me about 10 different reasons why Best Buy could not do what they told me 2 days earlier they could. Furthermore, she was extremely rude about it too. AVOID THIS BEST BUY FOR MOBILE INSTALLATION. PERIOD.

Read moreBought a gift for Christmas they told use would be installed by January 5th, they then called and told my son (three days before Christmas so no surprise there) that they had sold use the wrong parts and also book appointment wrong and that it would have to be moved until the 9th. On January 7th they call and inform us that the installer could no long work on cars until he completed his certification and that they were pushing our install until February 8th. I placed multiple calls and could get no resolution or help with a installation and when asked the pasted I could return the product and get my money back and they stated January the 15th!!! I asked what would happen if they were unable to put on my device February 8th and they had no answer. Very rude people at store and on phone all I could get was “well what you want me to do about it” and that it was rude to tell them that it was poor business practice to sell something and not follow through with terms of sale. Needless to say we went straight to store and got our money back. Do not shop here if it needs installation!!!!! They do not stand by...
