Galen Dermatology- East — Local services in Chattanooga

Wish there was a “zero” star option. I have been to Galen Dermatology East a few times now, my first appointments were fine, nurses were cordial and Dr. Lowe seemed to be knowledgeable. However, my appointment today was far from acceptable. The nurse I had was rude, dismissive and uncaring of my reason for my appointment. She questioned my family medical history as I mentioned my mother has Melanoma. She proceeds to ask snappy questions such as “Well where was your moms melanoma” “Did they even have to take out her lymph nodes??” Etc. Now, the worst part of it all, that this practice needs to understand is that YOUR PATIENTS CAN HEAR YOU OUTSIDE OF THE ROOMS. As a new patient, I visited Galen Dermatology after making the appointment with the receptionists and it couldn’t have been easier. I thought I would have an appointment in a few weeks at best but they set me up for the following week. After completing the required on-line questionnaire, I arrived a few minutes early just in case and my wait time was only a few minutes when I was called back. i had an allergic reaction so i booked an appointment. i met dr. kate shuster. she looked at my face and she actively listened to what i said. but there were no test done to see what i am allergic to. she looked at my face and told me that she doesn't know what caused the reaction.. I'm sure there are exams to confirm it or at least figure out the possible allergens....then she gave me a prescription.. a topic cream which contains steroids.. she didn't say anything about the steroids cream and any side effects. id rather stuck with rash than acnes.....i didn't know the cream would give me such bad acnes.. i do not recommend...
