I will never be returning to this store. I asked the cashier if she could split payment between two cards and she said she could, but she was too busy telling me about how she had to use the bathroom so she did it wrong and charged it all to one card. I immediately realized and asked if she could fix it because this mistake has severely messed up my finances and I’m out of work. She said she wasn’t sure and it would take a while to even see if they could and meanwhile my ice cream is melting and the line is getting backed up and I was getting frustrated so I left. I called when I got home to see if they could fix this for me and they said only if I returned to the store with all of my groceries and the receipt and were rude about this (I live 30 minutes away). Then a friend called on my behalf and they said no problem just have her bring the receipt back. Glad to know that they were dishonest and rude to me about their policy on the phone. I’ve been going to this store for years and the horrible customer service and ridiculous request of returning to the store with $160 worth of groceries and their complete lack of compassion or remorse for their mistake means that I will be taking my business elsewhere...
Read moreUPDATE: they had a really good ad so we decided to attempt visiting again and we had an okay time so we've gone back a couple of times since then. We no longer see that manager or cashier and the bathrooms have opened so I'm updating my rating to 3 stars.
We used to love this place, BUT several times now we have had problems with items ringing up incorrectly only to basically be called liars, accused of moving items and changing price tags, and the manager refuses to honor prices and stands there and degrades us in line in front of other customers and claims she can't remove items from an order individually - that we must re-ring EVERY item up and check out AGAIN. It's always the same despicable rude cashier and manager every time - Claudia is the cashier, Estelle the manager. We've never been treated so disrespectfully and just plain awful by a manager and cashier before. My kids were beyond upset and angry and after this last horrible shopping experience, we have decided that we will never return to our local Grocery Outlet. I wish I could give them...
Read moreI'm here at the store trying to return merchandise that I purchased with a receipt but since it's been longer than 30 days.. it's been 42 days they won't exchange or refund my money I paid them at all for any reason and I think that is a ridiculous return policy to treat your customers that way in this current economy and be overly greedy is poor business choices as far as I'm concerned. I will no longer shop here so they won't get any of my money instead they could have just returned $30 worth of stuff they could have resold but they're sticking me with it so I will no longer shop here and tell everyone else I know not to shop here either! The Young hipster manager was very rude in explaining to me why I couldn't receive my money back for a return because it's been a little bit over there 30 day policy. Not such a good deal shopping here after all! Don't even have a fitting room to try stuff on but I'm supposed to bring it back right away when I live far away and the price of gas is ridiculous!
