Not happy with my visit. I called hoping to get an estimate over the phone and was told I couldn’t and needed to come in for an appointment. I completely understand as it’s easier to physically see and estimate in person, so I complied. Day of I was called and asked to come in early so they could close early but I could not due to work. When I arrived at my appointment time, there was a grandmother, mother, and daughter at the boutique. I was told to try on the dress and when I came out, the seamstress did her thing. When she was done, I reiterated to her that when I called I only wanted an estimate first and I was told I could decide once I was told the price. She asked her granddaughter to translate, but I unfortunately the cost was out of my range so I wanted to check one other place and I would return if I’m they were more expensive. The granddaughter translated back to the grandmother and she scoffed at me then asked the mother (her daughter) to help pull pins out. As I was undressing and getting back into my clothes, I overheard the grandmother tell the other two in Portuguese that if I do call back, she won’t have time for me since I didn’t want to get it done today. What’s funny is they didn’t realize I actually spoke and understood Portuguese, even though I spoke English to them. Because of that, I walked out from behind the curtain grabbed my things and in Portuguese said thank you as I left. The surprised gasp I heard from one of them made me laugh.
