My pets have been patients at CVAC for four years and were patients of Dr. Mann, who we absolutely loved, and was one of the best veterinarians I’ve ever had the pleasure of using- kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. Unfortunately Dr. Mann left CVAC this year to be able to spend more time with her family, from my understanding. Dr. Wright, the older male veterinarian at CVAC, is still there for now and he is also a very good doctor and extremely kind and compassionate. We continued to use them after Dr. Mann left because we have multiple pets and we pay a small monthly fee for a program called “Pet Assure” that gives you a 20% discount on vet services at participating veterinary clinics. With multiple pets this can really be helpful but not many veterinary clinics in this area participate in the Pet Assure discount program. (Grants Mill Road does). Several weeks ago one of my sweet fur babies became ill during the night with vomiting so when the clinic opened I took her in. When I was taken back I was met by a new, young, female veterinarian who sat down and began to go through all of the tests and things she wanted to do on my girl to check her out- Multiple blood tests, x-rays, etc… to see if she had swallowed anything, etc…. In the past Dr. Mann and Dr. Wright have always tried to diagnose what was going on with your pets through deduction - running tests and taking x-rays slowly, looking at those results to see if they needed to keep looking and running more tests to see what could be wrong instead of throwing everything at the kitchen sink and doing everything at once while charging you a fortune for every lab test possible I was under the impression that these tests would be run that same way using logic instead of me being taken advantage of and instead of this vet running all these tests at once. In the end our dog was diagnosed with some kind of bacteria that I’m almost 100% sure they made up to justify the $1000++ bill!!! This was after my 20% discount!!! I was flabbergasted and very upset. I was not given an estimate of over $1000 and I told them that. If I had been given an estimate like that I would have immediately stopped this doctor. I was being ripped off and I told them I was thinking seriously about looking for another clinic. In the meantime my sweet husband had also called them and even though he was also very upset about this ridiculous amount he had paid the bill and gone to pick up our dog. Fast forward to today when I called to ask them if they would please get our dog’s $150 a month allergy medication ready. I was informed that all of my pets (two HUGE 130+ lb dogs) and two cats were no longer patients at this clinic because we had been kicked out for complaining about this astronomical bill several weeks ago!!!! We have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at this clinic over the past several years and we have never had any issues whatsoever. BE WARNED DR. MANN IS NO LONGER THE MANAGING DOCTOR OF THIS CLINIC AND THEY HAVE DECIDED TO TRY TO USE UNDERHANDED BUSINESS PRACTICES TO CHARGE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO PEOPLE WHO BRING THEIR PETS IN!!!! RUN!!! THERE ARE BETTER, LESS EXPENSIVE, MORE HONEST AND MUCH NICER CLINICS AND PEOPLE IN THIS AREA TO TREAT YOUR PETS! DONT BE TAKEN FOR THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO DIAGNOSE...
Read moreDr. Meyers is, without question, the best veterinarian I’ve ever had. Her combination of compassion, deep expertise, and no-nonsense reassurance has not only given me peace of mind, but it’s truly changed the lives of my pets.
My Golden Retriever was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, and while other vets told me to limit his activity, Dr. Meyers encouraged movement and helped us build a plan that prioritized both his physical health and quality of life. Now, at 6 years old, he acts like a puppy again—happy, active, and thriving. I credit that entirely to her thoughtful guidance.
More recently, my beagle started acting strangely and lost his appetite. I assumed he’d eaten something weird, but Dr. Meyers immediately suspected it was his back—and she was right. Her ability to notice subtle signs and act quickly makes all the difference.
And then there’s my cat. I was done with her peeing everywhere, despite trying everything. I even considered rehoming her, which I never thought I’d say. Dr. Meyers gently talked me through it and suggested trying feline Prozac. I haven’t had a single issue since. It’s been life-changing.
Dr. Meyers listens, truly listens, to my concerns, but she also helps me stay grounded and not panic—something every pet parent needs. I’m so incredibly grateful for her attention to detail, her passion for her work, and the genuine love she shows my animals every time we walk through her doors.
If you’re looking for a vet who will treat your pets like her own and go above and beyond, Dr....
Read moreI am not sure why I have never taken the time to leave a review here, but these people so deserve it. Both of our pups go to this location! Every. Single. One. Of the receptions and techs are just lovely and caring and LOVE my babies. Niko, the westie, is friendly to all, but my scottie is standoffish with strangers yet he never was with these people. That tells me a lot.
A couple of years ago, my westie gave us quite the scare. He is 13 years old and he had a bad bout of what seemed like pancreatitis (all tests showed that he didn't but he had every symptom.) He had to stay with them for about 4 days and we were absolutely terrified that he wouldn't pull through. The techs and Dr. Norris who was caring for him saw me boo boo cry many times and they were very comforting and assured us that they were doing everything they could and that they were praying for our boy. Dr. Norris went out of her way to go buy our westie some chicken just to try to entice him to eat. I don't know if any of you know how special that is, but not every vet is going to do that. I promise you. They even let me call and check up on him and come by and sit and visit because I missed him so terribly! Ultimately, he wound up pulling through and they were more than reasonable on our bill. We LOVE you all and are especially thankful for Dr. Norris. This is the only place I will take my pets and I suggest you give them a try if you...
