Went to this place during WrestleMania weekend. This was not on the list of stops but a happy discovery. Rashad had us go to one restaurant that was not good and I posted that review last week. He also wanted to go to Super Chix put that particular place was not open yet (it is on Hwy 280) and we didn't find that out until we got there.
However we came across what we hoped would be a happy alternative because right next to the closed restaurant is a place called Cookie Fix. We said well since we are here let's try this place. This instantly became what I like to call a happy accident.
Upon arrival we are greated with all smiles from the employees. We felt very welcomed. Once you walk in if you look to your right you will find that their signature cookie dough is for sale and you can take their dough home and bake it anytime. They also sell drinks as well.
They had all types of cookies you could get that were already baked and ready to go. I kept it simple and just bought a chocolate chip cookie. At first glance I figured the cookie would be dry and hard but I was wrong. This cookie had a great crunch on the outside and soft on the inside and the chocolate was so melty and ooey gooey and that little bit of salt on top gave it a near perfect balance. This cookie gets a 8.9/10 from me and I recommend you get your cookie fix...
Read moreThis establishment was along my route home and right across the parking lot from the gas station I stopped at, so I decided to drop in and see what they’re about.
The store is very pleasing to the eye, very clean, tidy and bright with adorable decor. There’s plenty of parking available.
I got four cookies: carrot cake Sammie, brown sugar blondie, peanut butter chocolate chip, and the kitchen sink.
In comparison to other businesses dedicated to just cookies, the size of these cookies are quite small. The prices range between $2.75 and $4.35 for each cookie. So a box of four average sized cookies cost me $13.36 after tax.
The cookies are very high-quality and have an absolutely delicious taste to them. Good balance of flavors and such. Still, I deem the prices to be a little too steep. If I ever have my pockets lined with more money, I definitely wouldn’t mind coming back and getting more cookies...
Read moreDuring the spring of 2024, Cookie Fix took over the old Krispy Kreme building on Highway 280 in the Greystone area of Birmingham. When Super Chix and Cookie Fix opened weeks apart, rhyming businesses occupying the left and right halves of the structure respectively, it's almost too perfect to be an accident. You'd think they collaborated, but it's sheer coincidence. Cookie Fix originated in Birmingham in 2017, while Super Chix opened in Dallas in 2014, and both have now crossed paths within the same confines.
At this charming, locally founded, Hispanic-owned business, you'll find an absolutely delicious array of cookies and very kind employees behind the counter! The brown sugar blondie and oatmeal toffee are highlights that are seriously worth trying, tasty little cookies with a mound of goodness in the middle of each one. The smores bars are...
