I came here to celebrate new years Eve with my friends. I have asthma and I can get overstimulated sometimes from being hot, all the people, stuffy air, and loud noises. I just need to be able to take a break from time to time, preferably getting fresh air outside. After about an hour of skating I really needed fresh air. I was not allowed to step outside, otherwise I would have to pay to get back in. I understand if you don't want someone who has already left the premises to come back, but letting your paying customers step outside for 10 minutes would be really nice. If you smoke, get overstimulated, or have asthma, be prepared to pay again or leave. I've been coming here since I was probably 6 years old and never heard of this until now. I've always loved coming here but I probably wouldn't come back. And I'm not one to leave reviews but I want others that smoke and have asthma to know you might want to go elsewhere.
Edit: I talked to the owner, I was very respectful and he was respectful back. I explained that I've seen another review where he responded saying that adults were allowed to go outside. My friends and I are all 19. He responded saying that we could step outside as long as we weren't wandering, which is completely...
Read moreThe facility is ok. It was clean. Skates seemed to be in fair to good condition. Their concessions are cash only (or at least advertised as so, but I didn’t buy any). The party areas are booths rather than private rooms.
Need to change their admission policy. They don’t charge for supervising adults or children in strollers. But if you have multiple children and one doesn’t want to skate (or even can’t) they still charge for them to have a wristband. Family of 6, would have gladly paid for 3 of my 4 children but they insisted I pay for all 4.
Owner tried to say something about having to charge or else they would have loiters and bored kids. I get charging deters loitering, and I’m not saying you should be able to enter free of charge. When asked for a logical explanation for why all of our children had to be charged (or why one supervising adult couldn’t sub in to skate) I was told, “That’s our policy, you aren’t the only one.” Half our party was being charged and skating with two supervising adults who were ALSO supervising the “bored” non-skater. Had I been given a logical explanation, I wouldn’t be ill about it. Had we not been there for my niece, I would have walked. I suggest you...
Read moreMy son and friends went with one of their moms this weekend. My son paid admission with cash by himself and was given $3 less than he should have been for admission. It happened to the other boy without a parent as well who paid cash.
When my son brought home less change than expected and let me know that was all they gave him back at the door, I called up there and the lady that was working the door was a bit defensive. She said it “could have happened” that she shorted my child, but nothing she could do about it.
I spoke to the owner and he was not the right person to handle this. He was defensive for his staff, who spoke to him before I could. And he condescendingly said $3 was inconsequential and I could just come get my money. That isn’t the point!!! I can do without $3. But my issue is if a kid comes in without paying with an adult, these people may be stealing from them! That’s why I called! I’m not driving 40 minutes for $3! But I’m also not giving them any more of my money if they can’t properly handle the situation and not accuse my child of being the problem!! Don’t...
