Chelsea Community Fair: Good Ol' Fashioned Fun!
The Chelsea Community Fair is a classic slice of Americana, offering good wholesome fun for the whole family. We went to check out both the demolition derby and the tractor pull, and while both were entertaining, they were definitely different experiences.
The demolition derby was absolutely packed! We couldn't find a seat anywhere and the line for food that night was insane (we waited for over an hour!). It was exciting to watch, but maybe go on a less popular night if you don't like crowds.
Personally, I preferred the tractor pull. It was less crowded and had a more relaxed atmosphere. Watching those powerful machines pull the sled was impressive!

Read moreI have been going here my whole life and I love it but I tried the ring of fire for the first time...me and my friend were going on it and we asked where are the seatbelts. There are lots of things to do and vendors where you can get food, though if you're looking for a cheaper dining option I would chose the Fair Restaurant rather than the vending as it is cheaper than festival food. There are LOADS of attractions (including a rodeo and barrel racing!!) and the Ferris wheel is so beautiful lit up at night. They close down at 10:00pm--which is a really reasonable time for a fair. HOWEVER, they keep raising the price of a wrist band. Last year, we distinctly remember it being $20 or below. This year it was $25 per person, resulting in $100 for four people, which was pretty outrageous! Other than that, it was great and we had a...
