I Barely would give the Chesapeake store One Star!! I was in there last Sunday when they had their Big Sale. I use a wheelchair so tried to call and No answered the phone so I thought they must be Really Busy so I drove in and when I got there my surprise no customers around when I went it I was met npby a gentleman who did open the door but that was about all the good customer service I received. First he never did tell me his name he said that the house crowd had just left anyway I explained I current OWN a LAZYBOY chair and a half recliner and I was was looking for a Chair and a half recliner I saw online which he told me I was wrong because they don’t sell a Chair and a half recliner, I Again said I saw it online and he responded I couldn’t have been on the LazyBoy Website. I told him it was on my iPad and I could use my ph9ne to pull it up, which of course is what I did and wow to My amazement I WAS CORRECT LAZYBOY does Sell Power Recliner Chair and a half. It was the Dawson collection to which he responded on well we don’t have it on our sales floor so I guess that’s why I was wrong about LazyBoy selling them I asked him if there was a collection close to it he had onhand and he told me the Aspen was close but it was comparingbTwo COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ITEMS AND they were nothing alike it would be like comparing apples and oranges. He did take me to see the Aspen for a se+one and he did manage to remember they had a chair and a half but it was a low back recliner and he understood that was not what I was looking for which was one of the few th8ngs he got right. I asked if another store had the Dawson and he did check and said they didn’t have it either. I also asked if I ordered it directly online what would happen if I changed my mind and he said it would be subjected to a 30% restocking fee. With that I said thank you and left the salesman was somewhat polite but certainly wasn’t the most friendly or helpful. On Monday I decided I should check the Virginia Beach Blvd store myself. Once again I called first and a loevely salesperson named Niki answered the phone I explained what 8 was look8ng for and she did say they did not carry the Dawson in the sales floor so I asked her if they had anything in a Chair and Half Power Recliner available to my surprise she came back with one collection but explained they didn’t have the chair and half but they had. The sectional that was in the collection, the name of that collection IN FACT was the ASPEN the same collection that the salesman in Chesapeake said would be comparing apples and oranges and that NO OTHER COLLECTION had a POWER Recliner Chair and a Half. Now I can Not figure out for the life of me why Chesapeake store couldn’t tell the Aspen had a Chair and a Half wheni asked while I was in the store but in Norfolk the Saleswoman Niki was able to find out in like 2 Mnutes??? I don’t know if it was because I use a wheelchair, or that I’m a larger Man or that I was in shorts and tee shirt and dressed in Church clothes that the sales man in Chesapeake DID NOT want to help me I did explain that I owned one currently. So I will NEVER go in Lazy-Boy Chesapeake ever again with their very poor salesman and not very Friendly or polite. There is one Positive I did go to the VIRGINIA BEACH Blvd store and Got very good service and Help from Niki and then Billy. Read moreUPDATE2-: Done with them. These 2 recliners are junk. After just 1 year, we feel ripped off and lost $4,000. My leather recliner soft leather separated at the seams which they did replace that section. About 2 months later the back just went to waste. I specifically asked about that same issue before purchasing and salesman claimed they were very high quality and not the same as the office supply store quality. I wish they were. The chair also feels and sounds like it's going to break and drop me on the floor which hasn't yet but waiting. My wife has the love seat and hates the material so much that she has a throw blanket over it and has the same rickety sound. I will no longer shop at Lazboy. Thought they were top of the line, not anymore.
Ordered chairs and switched on me. Gave me 3 days to decide if you wanted THE NEW chair. Defect noted and all they did was hammer the lock that holds the back. Other side easily glides lock and unlock. Very disappointed and doubt be back to buy any more. The 3 days to deciding on the unwanted chair is a joke. Should have declined but they already moved my old couch. Guess they had furniture they wanted to move. Repair guy reaked of cologne and ran off as soon as he hammered the lock and did nothing about the cracking or even made note of it. Ripoff artist!!!!
UPDATE: Raised it from 2 to 4 stars. We were able to work things out and nice of them to do that. I switched from the rocker they gave me to a standard chair which I originally wanted. I also opted for the leather instead of matching material of our love seat. We were partially responsible for the mix-up as it was listed on the receipt. Not sure how they changed it as we said nothing about a rocker and was looking at the basic chair but it's all good and lesson learned. Kudos for them for making it right....
Read moreWe bought a lazy boy lift recliner for my 87-year-old mother. We waited the normal time and then the chair was delivered to her. The first night the recliner got stuck in the upright position and she couldn’t get out. She had to call her neighbor to come help her get out of the chair then. The next day the recliner got stuck in the upright position again and that time she couldn’t find a neighbor so she had to climb out of it by herself and it almost tipped over on her. After making numerous calls to get service for this chair or to ask for a replacement we finally had a service technician show up today. He brought a new remote. We had already told them that the motor was burning hot on the Chair and that she was afraid to use it. Now they said it’ll be another week or two before we hear anything back from them on what they’re going to do. I had asked for another chair to be delivered to her or for them to expedite service because this is where she sleeps and now she has no place to recline and sleep. I am very dissatisfied with the service and would never buy another thing from them. I would run better off buying a cheap her chair somewhere else because then it wouldn’t of mattered if it broke but we paid for quality and we got trash. You called your phone and you just get a recording and it rings and rings and no one ever answers. Very...
