Horrible store....I am an elderly African American male who recently visited the Saksoff5th location in Wash., DC....off E Street NW on Sunday. I was with my daughter and I am 66 years of age. I asked one of the associates to use the restroom, who directed me to the bathroom however it had a do not use sign on it....I waited and watched two people use the bathroom, so I assumed it was okay to use it. Afterwards, while walking to the front of the store.....the store manager approached me with one of the guys who used the restroom previously in tow....She yelled at me stating didn't I see the sign and asked if i could read...I informed her that her employees directed me to use the bathroom and I watched 2 other use it....she yelled at me that they were employee's...even though neither she not they had any employee identifying identification or uniforms...i suggested that if this were the case then they shoukd identify themselves as employees....she stated that she was an employee with no Identification, so whats the difference.. she made no sense and instead of correcting the issue, she yelled at me in front of other customers and my 27 year old daughter....if she is miserable about providing customer service or just being civil to customers... then she should find another job.....she does not have the right to yell at customers especially a grown man...and not think they won't respond....during this time, one of the guys who used the bathroom previously stepped up and held his hands up .. apologetically.....my daughter did all she could not to respond even though your manager was disrespectful in her approach as well as her tone. She was confrontational and embarrasingly unprofessional...... she apparently is the store manager.. and if she decides to close the bathroom to the public, but allow her staff to use them....then she needs to inform all of her staff since I was directed to the bathroom by one of them ....the service here was horrible and severely lacking in simple customer service. I will never step foot in this store again.....i feel that their stores have no mechanism to hear customers complain....just check the website....the "contact us" link only focuses on returns and exchanges....when did customer service cease to become part of their strategy in the communities in which they...
Read moreYesterday, I went to Sak's in Chevy Chase to shop for shoes. While there, I found a Stuart Weitzman heel that was on sale and asked Wyatt, the associate if he could locate the left shoe since the right one was on the shelf and available for trying on. He mentioned the only pair left in the entire company was a 9.5 and he couldn't locate the left shoe and mentioned I should return tomorrow (today) if someone was able to locate it. (Never have I been asked to return to a store, especially not Sak's to pick up an item when someone didn't even take the time to properly look). I asked him to confirm the price - he scanned the shoe and it rang up at $128. He texted me the image of the shoe before I left the store so we'd both have a photo of it. This morning I contacted him over text asking if the shoe had been found. He said the store wasn't open until 11am and that he'd have an associate check and contact me. Frustrated that I already had to waste time returning to the store, taking time I do not have to be running around on a work day, I contacted the store directly and explained the situation to Jordyn in the women's shoes department. She couldn't understand why Wyatt wouldn't have taken the time to look for the shoe while I (the guest) was there yesterday. I was just as angry as she was. She placed me on hold for less than 3 minutes and located the shoe - I confirmed with her I'd be back at the store today before 5pm to pick them up. Once I arrived, she had them waiting for me. She rang the price up and quoted me $207. I let her know Wyatt had quoted $128 and she wasn't sure where that had come from and couldn't honor it so I paid $207. Also, during the time I had picked up the shoe, Wyatt texted me and said the associate could not find the shoe. His message led me to believe he had never even communicated with anyone to ask them to look for the 'missing' shoe. Never have I ever received such poor service from Sak's - never again will I shop at the Chevy Chase location and I'll think twice about shopping at Sak's in general. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have...
Read moreThis was my second visit to this store and I must say I am unimpressed. My fiancé and I went in about a week ago and purchased some slacks and left them for alterations. The service we received on the first visit was subpar and we were followed the entire time we were in the store. We returned to pick up our altered slacks, which we are still looking waiting for the call telling us they were ready. After entering the store we inquired about our slacks and were told there were ready. When I asked why we were not contacted prior to, I was advised they didn’t have a number in the system only an email. When we asked why we hadn’t been emailed we were told, sorry about that. They couldn’t find the slacks as they put them in two separate areas of the store. The manager came out of hiding and waved us off to the sales rep because she decided to come to work with no voice. She was sick! We were in the store for approximately 30 minutes with no apology for the wait. After they finally found both slack they were handed to us with a bag for us to put them in without any assistance by store sales reps or the manager. My man took the slacks to the sick manager and asked if someone could put them in the bag while the sales rep looked on confused. Not sure if this was because we are African American so I won’t play that card. I’ll just chalk it up to they have terrible customer service and I see why the store is always empty of customers when we come in. I probably won’t make the trek back down to this location ever again. It’s too uncomfortable to...
