So my daughter found a dress on line that was on sale for $83.30, regular price &119.00. We decided to go to the store to see if they had the dress because the on line store did not have her size. We found the right size, tried it on to make sure and while I was trying a dress on asked the young gal working if she could check the price because it was on sale on line, but not marled in the store. After some time, more than a price check would normally take, she came back and said the price on the tag was correct and that it was not on sale on line either. After finishing in the fitting room I took the style number off the tag of the dress and looked it up on their web site. Found the dress and it was discounted. Showed two young ladies at the register. One young lady proceeded to tell me that the dress on line was slightly different, not having the same sparkles at the top, even though it was the same style number. I tried brining up the larger picture on my phone, but my phone was not working well in the store. She also tried telling me that the web site and the brick and morter stores are totally different entities and priced things differently. They don't hold the same sales or even price items the same. I then asked to speak the the manager and found out she was the manager. I needed this dress for my daughter for a special event so I paid for it. When we got out to the car I tried to pull up the larger picture again and found the same sparkles on the picture as on the dress. So the department manager lied straight to my face even when I told her she was lieing. Called the local store and asked to speak with the store manager and was told she was out of the building and left a message to have her call me by 3pm the next day. Never received a call back so obviously the managers don't care if they have repeat business or poor reviews. Don't trues any one that works and the Cheyenne Dillard's! They will lie to get as much money as they can out of you with out an to care. I will be leaving poor reviews on all venues I can and I will also be contacting the BBB. We will also not be spending any more of our hard earned money at the is fraud of...
Read moreI was in there today looking for an outfit for a family get together. The staff was very welcoming and nice but for the cost of the clothes the selection is not just not up to par. It took forever for me to find anything that would fit as well as for my age level. Most of the clothes were tailored toward women middle aged and older and honestly looked more like overpriced shower curtains. I compared a size small to a size extra large and they were the exact same size. $90 for a skirt and shirt that may or may not fit as I didn't have time to try them on. I also tried to find summer dresses for my teenage daughter and the very few I was shown were WAY too short for her to wear to school or even in public for that matter. They looked more like tank tops. When I explained to the cashier that the dresses they're selling do not meet the junior high school's dress code, she just gave me a deer in the headlights look. I then asked her if she had anything longer and she stated that long dresses are no longer offered unless I purchase...
Read moreThe beautiful clothing and shoes might as well be trapped inside a claw machine. Finding someone to help you actually make a purchase is all but impossible. I actually visited this store twice today to try to buy a $150 pair of shoes. I had to select shoes in my size that were on display, because over the time it took to try on two pair, nobody even spoke to me. I walked right past several employees too engrossed in thier merchandising project to even make eye contact - or notice I was checking out expensive jackets.
When this place closes, it won't be because of malls, or the internet, or the labor market. It will be because nobody tried.
BTW, when I walked into Shoe Carnival, the discount store, an employee sprang out to open the door for me. I was immediately greeted by the Assistant Manager. As I browsed, each employee took a moment to say hello, and offered to assist me. I paid $45 for shoes today to wear with a thousand dollar suit - and I look forward to telling the story...
