Went into State of Illinois DL/ Vehicle Registration office, located 160 N. LaSalle Chicago 11/30/2022. There were long lines inside. I was promptly greated by a female Allied Universal Security employee upon my entry. The same female security employee escorted me to a very short line which was adjacent to the long line. I was waking with a cane because of disabilities affecting my walking and movement ( senior citizen too). The shorter line I was escorted to by the female security employee was for people who met my criteria of disability and age group, I suppose . I was serviced, after which I was verbally directed my the customer service agent ( photo taker for State ID renewal) to a very long line near the wall and to the right of the photo counter. I was the only person in the line with a cane. The line slowly moved as people were serviced at the counters several feet away and facing the long line of people were I was standing. In the meantime I observed to the left of the line I was standing at least three elderly appearing males/ female enter into the short line. I heard one of the males speaking in the spanish language. In the meantime the female employee seemed to still be assisting people entering/ and in the lines as she was postioned near the entry/ exit door area. I also later observed a male wearing a black hoodie & with facial hair behind the counter ( which was facing the very long line I was in) with the state of employees, he was mostly facing with his back away from all lines and goings on inside where customers were, he appeared to be fondly interacting with the state of illinois employees behind the counter where he was still at. Eventually this male Allied Universal Security employee came from the counter walking pass ( Castillo name tag observed) the lines of people ( I could hear him using profanity ( more than once) in a loud tone of voice and a lackadaisical demeanor observed. I then also noticed a male ( black) bald/ short hair below average height wearing all black interacting with state of Illinois employees ( in a fond manner) near the photo counter, then he seemed to briefly interact with people waiting in the long line for service and then he 'disappeared'. The female Allied Universal security employee ( self identified as Kadisha Harris ) appeared to be the only security consistantly/ appropiately interacting and assisting people/ customers, and is appreciated for her good job . While still waiting in the long line with my walking cane for assistance, I observed several of appearing so, senior, hispanic ( ALL people in no / short line appeared to be HISPANICS and seniors ) short males and females ( who came in after I did in a very short line ( first observed in the intial very short line I was escorted to by the female security), complete their servicing/ processing at what I recall was counter #1 ( while at times appearing to directed to, by Allied Universal security employee Castillo who seemed to 'appear' and 'disappear' from view), the very short line at counter #1 ( ALL of the people appeared to be HISPANIC seniors) and exit building. Counter #1 was several feet to the left of the long line I still remained in and seating/ chairs were several feet away ( Counter#1 had no line, then then it became the very short line. I waited standing with my cane for assistance in the very long line for at least 40 minutes ( until called...

Read moreHad the misfortune of running into one of their employees on Navy Pier. My boyfriend and I were out biking in the city (specifically along the Lakefront Trail) something we’ve never done, and I asked her for directions to the bike path as I couldn’t find the sign for it. Instead she decided to get incredibly rude, sarcastically asked me if I knew how to read, told me to ‘get off of her pier’ (I’m a Navy veteran, but that’s not important), and then tell me she was going to write me a ticket. Last time I checked, security doesn’t have that power so I would’ve been fine had she called the police. I needed directions and asked someone I thought could help me.
Regardless, pretty poor impression of the quality of people that are hired. So poor, in fact, that I had only glanced at her shirt and memorized the...
