Play Street Museum – South Loop ⭐⭐⭐½
A Cute Concept, But Not a Must-Visit for Everyone
Play Street Museum is a small, well-thought-out indoor play space designed for younger toddlers (1-2 years old). It’s a cozy spot for hands-on activities, but considering the price and space, I’d say it’s more suited for locals rather than a must-visit for those driving in from further away.
🎨 What We Loved: ✅ Fun, Interactive Activities: • We tried the tie-dye tote bag 🎨👜—it was a cute idea, but the tote was very tiny and paint supply felt limited. • The ceramic coloring activity 🖌️🔥 was a nice touch! It gave us a calm wind-down moment before heading out. • The token-for-a-snack system 🍎🍪 was adorable! A small but thoughtful gesture.
✅ Clean & Well-Maintained: The space was tidy and well-kept, which is always a plus for kid-friendly places.
🚗 What Could Be Better: • It’s Small! One-floor layout with limited play areas—ideal for 1-2-year-olds but not much beyond that. • Pricing Feels High: Activities range from $20-$45, which feels steep for the size and materials provided. • Tricky Parking: Be prepared to search for a spot nearby.
📌 Would I Return? Since I live 45 minutes away, I wouldn’t make the trip again. However, if you’re local to the South Loop, it’s a fun way to spend quality time with your little one.
✨ Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐½ A cute, clean, and engaging spot for younger toddlers, but the price vs. experience ratio doesn’t quite justify repeat visits for us. If you’re in the area, worth checking out...

I’m beyond impressed with this play space. I’ve truly never seen anything like it — it’s a creative wonderland for kids.
We also paid for the Slime Lab add-on, and let me tell you — it was SO worth it! The one-on-one guided experience was not only fun but super engaging. My daughter had the best time mixing, stretching, and creating her own slime with the help of an awesome staff member. It made the day even more memorable!
Speaking of staff — they were amazing. So friendly, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure every child was having a great time. Their energy and attentiveness really stood out, especially when working with the little ones. I’m so grateful for how kind and interactive they were — it made the experience feel extra special.
There’s just so much to do — the opportunities for imaginative play are endless. Every area is packed with fun, creativity, and hands-on activities. You could easily spend hours here and still have more to explore!
And the icing on the cake? 2-hour free parking with validation — such a thoughtful perk that makes the whole outing even better.
We’re already talking about when we can come back. This place is...
Read moreCame as a walk in 12/27/24. Since it was 130pm my daughter and I had to wait until the next session which started a 230pm. No problem, I paid my 20 something dollars and waited in the front. I signed my waiver as I waited. Once 230pm hit Christine gave all the kids a token and let them in. I followed my child all over and watched her have a ball. She then ran to the slime section where they had instructions and ingredients to create slime. We followed all the instruments listed. Towards the end of our slime project Christine came over to explain that the slime section was an add on and will be extra. I told her that I didn't know that. There was no sign stating it was an add on. Needless to say I was charged additionally even though I was never informed ahead of time and even after the fact I told her that no one told me that. I still gave the place 3 stars because my daughter had a blast and it is very clean, but I'm pissed about the extra charge....
