This was my second visit.I had to bring back aton of items that did not fix. It seems like sizes run small.I was unable to try them on because they fitting rooms are closed, due to covid. Also, not many option for men that need bigger sizes.. I was able to get XL size shirts but not all clothing has that size option. I dont know if it was just a coincidence or they actually dont carry hem. And i saw 2XL as well but to a minimum. Also, for guys Jean's I just saw uptown size 38. And again after size 36 not many options are available.. we had to dig thru some racks to find acouple of size 36. And again be aware that sizes run very small. My 12 year old son fit into an adult men medium.. never has he fit into to(too big) but here he did. Usually the biggest size he fits in men is a small.
Also, the racks are very close to each other and its impossible to keep the distance with other customers. If you have problems with this then dont visit because you'll forsure bump into other people. Nice thing is that they have 3 floors and registers are on each floor. Returning items are a pain.. they where trying to refund me to my card but because it was over $100 they where having issues..they finally decided to give me cash..not a problem but at the begging I told them if they where having trouble refunding my card then I would take store credit ,they said this wasnt possible because of store policy, but then after 15 minutes trying again and again they go ahead and give me cash..weird. we could avoided all this if they would of listen to me...
Read moreI visited the Chicago State street location to do a little shopping Saturday, February 19,2022. The prices were amazingly low! However, none of the clothing was organized. The hangers have convenient sizing on the hook. The actual item on that hook had a completely different size. I had to handle every item of clothing intimately to find my size because all the sizing tags were tucked in, and none of the hanger sizes were correct. Also I am not a small woman and finding a size large was hard for every item that caught my eye. When I went to the fitting room, it was more disaster! There was no way to properly organize and count my pieces so the poor attendant had to be a human coat hook for me. This prevented her from being able to assist anyone else while I was handing her items and counting. She was smiling and patient as if being my personal assistant was what she was paid for. Then I get back to the very small dressing rooms with very little hanger space. Keeping my items to be tried on separate from my items to be bought was aggravating. Each room had a mirror but the booths were so tiny that I had to use the common area to get an accurate look at my appearance. Having random strangers compliment me was off-putting. The cashier who rung up my items was friendly and saw to my purchasing needs (reusable bags, choice of patterns) without complaint. The staff actually seemed to be okay with the chaos and clutter. Their smiling pleasantness had a slightly calming...
Read moreusually enjoy shopping at Primark and hadn’t been in a while, so I was excited to visit again. Unfortunately, during my recent trip, I had a very upsetting experience that left me feeling uncomfortable and unfairly targeted.
As I entered the store about 30 minutes before closing, I was greeted by a security woman at the door. From the beginning, I noticed that she seemed to be watching me very closely. I was shopping for underwear and bras, and as many shoppers know, the items are often not in their original packaging—likely due to previous theft. I was simply trying to find my correct size and items that hadn’t been tampered with.
However, as I moved through different sections, the same security woman followed me around the store, walking closely behind me and clearly keeping an eye only on me. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and profiled. I’m not a thief—I work hard for my money and was there to shop for personal items, not to cause trouble.
Whether it was because I came in near closing time or because I didn’t look my best that day, I felt unfairly judged and watched in a way that no customer should be. Ironically, while I was being followed, someone else who may have had actual intentions to steal could have easily slipped through unnoticed.
The experience really upset me. I couldn’t even shop in peace, and I left feeling hurt and disrespected. I hope Primark takes situations like this seriously—everyone deserves to feel safe and welcome...
