I've visited Late Bloomer twice, and while the space is charming and offers a wide array of options, the prices are quite steep. On one occasion, a used item was priced at over $100. Furthermore, the staff's lack of engagement was noticeable. During my first visit, I received minimal acknowledgment (no greeting just told me they were closing soon) and during my second visit, the 2 employees were silent and even left to smoke while I browsed. I’m hesitant to leave a review due to the owner's responses on social media to negative reviews, I'm genuinely disappointed as I had hoped to enjoy my experience at this establishment.

Here is some genuine feedback. Yes, employees should take breaks it’s California state law. However, if there are 2 employees working together, they should not be taking smoke breaks together if there is a shopper. Additionally, they always post about making just enough to pay the bills. Invest some time into training your employees to be friendly, engaging, and teach them techniques on how to upsell or even make a sell to the customers that do come in instead of making excuses for the prices and employees. I personally know that you sell band tees, and I’ve gone in twice in hopes I would find what I’m looking for. An easy way to make a sale or keep a shopper coming back in is to ask what they’re looking for then say “I can’t guarantee that we’ll have this specific band you’re looking for, but I’d be happy to take your number down and keep this in mind while we’re shopping for inventory.” That would have possibly made this shop a sale and possibly a returning customer rather than a negative review. The environment the employees provided did not feel welcoming so I did not ask myself.
