So I rarely get my hair done and I'm terrible at explaining myself but I came in with a picture of a pixie mohawk, or what I thought was a picture of a pixie mohawk. I had really long hair but I wanted a change and I had been hyping myself up for this change for weeks so I was ready.
The entire time i was getting my hair done I kept thinking "is it a mohawk yet?" and eventually it was finished and it was a pixie faux hawk. I guess in the picture I showed it was really a faux hawk and not a mohawk. Ok, understandable.
Since I paid $60 for the cut, $15 for eyebrows, and $25 for the tip, I went back the next day to get it fixed. I really just wanted her to take my hair and adjust it from a pixie faux hawk to a pixie mohawk, like, take what I had and like adjust it from the side to middle, but my mistake was once again I showed a picture to make my point as to what I wanted done with my hair. I really just wanted to make an adjustment and show me how to style it. I should have just explained it instead of showed a picture because the lady who did my hair is too good at what she does.
Instead she gave me a completely new haircut. I should have known something was up when she brought out the buzz cutters, but I thought she was like, adjusting the angle of the doo or something? It didn't look like a pixie anything or a mohawk anything. It was even shorter than what she had originally given me. It looks like... I don't know take a look for yourself. I don't know what to do to style it to even make it look cute. I wish I had kept the first style because at least it wouldn't have been what I wanted but it would have at least been cute.
It's my fault for not being able to explain things properly and for using picture to describe to an expert what I wanted but I'm going to be stuck like this for a very long time. I'm devastated.
And yes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCalled in last minute, they got me in which I was very appreciative of. The reason Iām rating this so poorly is that the stylist doing my hair was in training.(Absolutely no problem with her, she was great. ) Still tipped her 10$ on a 50$ haircut Iām very unsure of even after asking the owner to second check it. (I felt terrible for my stylist so please donāt come for me but also didnāt wanna walk around with a butchered hair cut.)
If I wanted to go to the beauty college I would have, and would have walked out spending a lot less. Not only that but in my opinion the owner made me and the stylist uncomfortable. My stylist was starting my hair as the owner I believe who was doing a perm came over and let me know that this person was in training and started showing my stylist what to do, what angles to cut, how to hold the hair when cutting ext. Didnāt really have the opportunity to express my discomfort. (I have waist length hair, & it means very much to me) So now my stylist is probably embarrassed, Iām super uncomfortable because I donāt want to make a new stylist feel bad b/c she is new to this but also donāt want my hair butchered. I feel it was super unprofessional to not let a client know this person was in training until hair was already cut.
& to the owner (Iām guessing, short lady with dark or black hair) You should really learn how to give your stylist corrective criticism without making the client feel uncomfortable, like their stylist doesnāt know what they are doing when your having to come over and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI should have walked out immediately when I saw no one was wearing a mask. They are not taking ANY safety precautions for the pandemic. I needed a haircut really bad, so I decided to do it anyway and just wore my mask, but I felt like I was being judged for doing so.
The stylist I had, also the owner, was super impatient and interrupted me when I was trying to explain what I wanted done to my hair. Literally cut me off mid-sentence multiple times. I felt like she was judging me the whole time and wasnāt friendly at all. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her for an appointment that I made weeks in advance. Actually it was more than unfriendly, it was straight up rude.
As far as the haircut itself, the back looks ok, but thatās all that she really focused on. When she did the front of my hair she wasnāt listening to me and ended up cutting my bangs wayyy shorter than I wanted. I left feeling like the cut wasnāt finished OR what I envisioned, but she never even let me explain what it was that I wanted.
I never leave negative reviews, but it was an awful experience and was unprofessional on so many levels. I couldnāt wait to leave, and I was shook up for the...
