Walgreens — Local services in Chiefland

Dont trust this location to get your prescriptions filled on time. I have had trouble multiple times with this location but I will use my most recent experience as an example. I have been attempting to get my prescription filled with them for over a week now. My doctor has sent over my prescription three times. Each time i called the next day (so they would have time to receive the fax and put it on the system ) to see if they receive it. Each time they told me they had not. My doctor ended up printing a physical copy for them since they were having so much trouble and I really needed this medication. So yesterday I brought the physical copy of my prescription to this location, they scanned it in and told me it would be ready in a few hours. I was helping a friend move so I told them I would be in the next day to get it. I got the text verifying that my prescription had been filled about 1hr after I left the pharmacy. Today i went back to pick it up and was told they they couldn’t fill it until November. Confused, I asked why, as i had just brought the prescription in the day before and had verification that it was filled. The person at the drive through window went to ask someone why the computer would be saying this. When they came back they informed me that my prescription was filled at a different location and that they would have to switch it back over to them and get it filled there. It wasn’t the person at the windows fault and I didn’t want to give them any grief about it so I just said thank you and went to run errands while I wait for the confirmation that it is filled. Again this has happened with this location more than once (aprox. 3 times with different prescriptions). I worry that if someone needed a medication urgently that this location would be incapable of...

Many timeS, I myself and other customers waiting in line cant get a RX filled. the reason is mostly that the pharmacist does not recognize the doctor and want the customer to go back to the hospital and ask about it. I live in Bell Fl and that is 70 miles round trip to Gainsville hospital plus 60 miles round trip to Walgreens in Chiefland.. I can not believe Walgreens will not call the hospital to verify the doctor.

On several other times, I call the pharmacy and order the refill and set the time for the next day at 11 AM. When I get there they tell me it did not come on the truck or it is still on the truck and can I come back after 4 PM, that is 5 hours and IT IS A 60 MILE ROUND TRIP, could they have checked it when I called to be sure it was available. It is insulin, needed NOW. I had also tried the auto fill and they called and said it was ready AND SAME STORY...
