Captain Randy's near-perfect reviews are not an overstatement; he has earned every bit of the many 5-star reviews shown here. My very good friend and I booked a last-minute Saturday evening tour with Captain Randy and had an amazing time. He took us out into the ocean for dolphin viewing (which I did not expect when we booked the tour) and saw at least 50(!), if not 100(!!), dolphins. We also saw the ponies and a ton of waterfowl. Captain Randy was adept at identifying each bird we saw, as well as additional information about each one. His personal stories and the knowledge he has gleaned from his lifetime as a Teaguer are unparalleled, and it is clear that he pours his entire heart and soul into his work. Rarely have I experienced a tour guide as personal and touching as he is. Even though I do not agree with all of his political views, I greatly appreciate who Captain Randy is as a person and the love and care with which he approaches his job. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. Not only is Captain Randy reasonably priced, but in my view he goes way above and beyond what one would reasonably expect from this experience. You will not regret your time with him, even if the wildlife does not...
Read moreSuch a fantastic experience! Captain Randy is a 5th generation local and clearly loves the islands and is dedicated to giving his passengers a great time, putting his all into every tour. We didn't see ponies - there's been a drought so they were pretty far into the islands' interior (we did see them on a drive). However, we saw a ton of dolphins, which was amazing. We also enjoyed jellyfish, an eagles nest, horseshoe crab, osprey nests, and plenty of sea birds. The boat is small - 6 passenger max - which is exactly why I booked this tour. The captain is able to navigate around and get much closer to wildlife than larger vessels. He also knows tons of local lore and stories, as well as all the best eats. His knowledge of the ocean, terrain, and history of the area are remarkable. I felt like we were getting the inside scoop, so to speak. I think my only advice would be to take the tour the first day...
Read moreCapt Randy was very personable. My husband, my son and I were ecpecting to tour the bay on their pontoon boat. When we got there this morning Capt Randy said the pontoon was being worked on. We ended up taking the tour in his work boat/skiff. I was a little leary of it and it wasn't very comfortable even though it does have a couple of benches but no cushions. Capt Randy made up for it by taking us into the sand bars where the pontoon would not have gone. We got to see the horses up close. We saw an eagle take off and even got to see several Osprey nests. We were able to actually see a Mama and her single egg. We looked for dolphins but didnt see any. It was a great 2 hour tour and we really didn't see other tour boats except for 2 that were in the open waters of the bay and channels. Capt Randy was born here so was very knowledgeable about the...
