The local fresh figs were the highlight of our first visit to Church Street Produce. These trees seem to grow very happily on Chincoteague island. We ordered a Tomato Pie to see how it may be different than what we get in Norristown, PA. As you can see in the pictures, the Tomato Pie had a nice flakey crust with a savory filling of delicious fresh tomatoes and a nice blend of Italian spices with a generous layer of cheese then baked. We received a text message that our Tomato Pie was done and we showed up promptly to find the friendly staff pulling our pie from the oven. We took it to our home for the week and enjoyed it right away while it was still hot from the oven. I assumed that my child, who stays well away from stewed tomatoes, to my surprise, really liked CSP's Tomato Pie.
