Red Dragon Karate — Local services in Chino Hills

This karate studio is the best around. The head instructor, Sensei William, is great with children and adults alike. His Little Dragon program is fantastic for teaching your little ones discipline and respect and really helps with self-esteem and shyness. They host monthly "Parent's Night Out" events, on a Friday or Saturday evening, where for $10 you can bring your child for 3 to 4 hours of entertainment, dinner and a movie while you get to go and have a nice date night or a stay at home and relax alone night. These events are even open to non-enrolled children, such as friends and other family members who are not in karate, like a little brother or sister. Parents get a break and some quiet and the kids get to have a great time participating in events such as Nerf gun wars or Beyblade tournaments with prizes.

There are also fantastic adult classes that can focus on a whole host of things depending on what you like. The class options range from fitness kick-boxing, cardio classes that will totally kick your butt, to adult martial arts resulting in getting your black belt and learning awesome weapons and a multitude of fighting styles along the way.

The studio itself is gorgeous, with great decor and nice comfortable couches to watch your children in class from. Even the restroom is amazing and looks like something more out of a spa than a karate studio. You can tell they take great care of the studio and value cleanliness and a great environment.

The prices are great, the best around from my shopping around, and there are several payment options to fit even the tightest family budget needs.

I highly recommend Red Dragon Karate, and I can't say enough about how great the studio is, what they do for their students and how great all the instructors and staff in general are. This has been a great place to learn and watch the changes this place has made in so many people's lives. I have seen problem kids come in and within a month or two they are acting better, doing better in school and listening in general. It really gives kids a great outlet for their pent up energy and also for helping them deal with the pressures of school, bullies, and peer pressure.

We first came to the studio for a birthday party event for one of our sons friends. The party was beyond impressive on price and fun! The sensei had an obstacle course set up for the kids to compete on, they are, did a short lesson in beginning karate and then ended with a fantastic surprise. The kids got to pic a bad habit and write it on a board. As their turn came, the sensei gave them each a quick pep talk about their item and then allowed them to "break that habit" in front of everyone! The looks on their faces as they did this is indescribable! We decided to give it a try with our oldest son...

After about a year now, his attitude, focus, discipline and self confidence have notably improved. He recently made orange belt and his level of confidence in his achievements is so wonderful to see. He now has his sight set on the ultimate goal of black belt! The sense is do a fantastic job of carrying the discipline they teach into all aspects of the child's life including behavior at school and home. And it works...

After being around the studio for a while, I learned of the fitness classes a.k.a bootcamps and thought I'd give it a try. The price is better than any other gym you will try and the workout you will receive is bar none the best! If you don't want to push it you can take it easy but if you want results you will be encouraged and supported the entire way. I LOVE taking these classes now! It's a great stress relief method and you do learn some self defense as well in the classes.

The sensei's also offer the parents a break once a month by offering a few hours to leave the kids and go have a date night or just some peace and quiet. You do not have to be a student to take advantage of these also! It's a great deal where the kids are safe, entertained and get to burn off some steam! $10.00 you just can't beat that!

Red Dragon Karate was recommended by one of my sons friends from school. I went to check it out, and was hesitant as to whether my son, 5 1/2 at the time, would be too timid to participate. Surprisingly, Sensei William made him feel super comfortable and quickly earned his respect! My son has flourished and focuses so well in class and that’s because he enjoys it and is really very good at it! He takes pride in his art and I give this place all the credit for that. They really do know how to keep them on their toes and teach children respect, focus and how to defend themselves in this crazy world we live in. I enjoy every minute of it as well and am learning a lot too! I have referred a few kids that I know and have always recommended it to individuals on the FB page through the city when they are searching for a martial arts class for kids. Adults as well!
