I think one of the worst experiences anyone could ever have is when they receive a lack of customer service and don’t take care of the customer when realizing it was their mistake.
On Wednesday, I went to the Chino Hills location to purchase a ring. I’ve shopped here a number of times but this time they didn’t have what I wanted. They suggested to ship what I requested to the store from another location and said that it would be arriving by Saturday at the latest. I mentioned I needed it for a Birthday gift so it was important I receive it in time….Saturday at the latest since needing it Sunday.
Well today (Sunday) I called the store since from Wednesday I received no call, email, text, nothing providing an update regarding my order. I happened to speak to a Manager who introduced herself and title, but quickly I could tell she lacked knowledge of simply looking up my order stating she “saw no record of my purchase”. I’ve shopped at Jared multiple times, and never have I had this happened. Turns out she found my order and said the ring was delivered Friday. Never did they call, never did they email, there was zero communication. She provided a meritless apology and tried to deflect any accountability of her team dropping the ball. She was quick to make sure I knew she was the manager…but not quick to take ownership of her team’s mistakes.
I personally won’t go back to this store, I rather go to Brea or just find another jeweler. We all make mistakes, but finding the right solution is what was needed and what Jared...

I went to have my watch repaired on 12/2/18 and was informed that they would call me when it was done. I had to pick it up 4/22/19 because I received no communication from them about whether it was completed or not.
Manager told me that the employees left the company and it got lost in the shuffle. So every time an employee leaves/gets fired is there just a pile of other people's property just sitting there??
I told him that I was a small business owner and that if I didnt communicate with a client for 5 months I wouldn't expect to get paid anything. I was in a rush so I asked how much do I have to pay to walk out the door and he said, "It says $150" then attempted to justify it etc.
I expected SOME type of discount for this ridiculous mistake on their part but the manager made it very clear that he just wanted my $150 not my satisfaction. All I got were some seemingly half-hearted apologies and no solutions.
He said he could "do an in depth investigation but it would take 15-20 minutes" and immediately said after that the employees left the company so what good would that possibly do?
Overall I was VERY dissatisfied with everything and I will no longer be doing business of any kind with this store. My wife tells me this is typical of a jewelry store but if so I dont know how any of them are in business. I called to ask if I could get a copy of the invoice, was willing to confirm all my information such as date of purchase, cost of purchase, my name, my address and anything to confirm anything they have on file but the girl on the phone said they could not help me as it's against their policy. 4 days prior to this, I called the Brea location an the actual manager Carolina from that store was more than willing to help me in locating what store I bought it from and the exact date. Why is it that two stores have different policies! I asked to speak to the manager and the person put me on hold for extended time hoping I would hang up but after 10 mins I hung up because I had to get back to working as my break was over. I've been working in customer service for 22 years and this person was not very helpful at all, not willing to do their basic job. I wanted a receipt because it's their policy that if you buy a ring double the value of what you bought, you'll get credit for the full amount of first purchase.
