This is now my families favorite spot. Tacos, beer, steak, fish.. so good. This makes California fish grill look bad .. (no offense). This location used to be occupied by Bruxie, and at first I was quite sad to see it close during the COVID-19 pandemic. Luckily me and my wife decided to give this place a try after their opened, and man what a great place to eat at. It still kept the out door open area so it is ideal especially during this pandemic. Prices fair priced for the quality of their food, and the three times I’ve been here things have been usually pretty consistent. The only time it wasn’t, was during a busy rush they had, but the waitress quickly got me the coleslaw that they forgot to add to my plate. Staff is friendly, hope you do remember to tip them, as they do come and clean up after you are finished at your table. Food I would recommend the following dishes: Steak Arrachera with fries- this steak is SO tender and flavorful. It comes with a dipping sauce (but spicy) paired with the fries, coleslaw it is so good. Must try here. Surf and Turf Tacos (can make this a plate with drink, rice and beans) White Fish with lemon butter and rice. This has steak and shrimps included! Ahi Tuna Tostadas - Crispy outside with what you expect, fresh tasting Tuna. The layout is basically the same as before when Bruxie was around, but with new chairs and tables. They have people bringing out food, and if you need to order another drink they can get it for you at your seat. Looking forward to give some other food a try, but I’m telling you, try this place out if you love steak, fish, and tacos. Until next time!

Update: I’ve upgraded this place to a 5* even though the tacos aren’t the most authentic, but they do taste very good. I tried the pork belly taco for the first time and it was very tasty. The Baja fish taco was still one of the best and freshest in town. A nice place for a quick and tasty meal in Chino Hills’ The Shoppe. It has a covered outdoor seating area that is great for some fresh air. The place has pretty much maintained it’s reasonable price when other places have jacked up their prices by 15-30% in Chino Hills. They also add new items to its menu ever so often. I just tried the grilled barramundi filet in blackened Cajun sauce and it was quite satisfying. The portion was big and the taste was very good. This place may be selling tacos, but it’s a long way from being a Mexican restaurant. Update: I’ve finally tried its Baja fish tacos and I must say they were very good. The fish was very fresh and the corn tortillas were good as well. Though it’s not like what I remembered having in Baja, but these gringo tacos were still very good. Update: We’ve finally tried the fried chicken tacos. Okay, it’s not authentic Mexican food, but they were very well made and tasted very good.

Please note this review is for the service only.

We arrived last night on their opening day and saw a sign posted stating they were at full capacity. Not sure if we interpreted the message wrong but we just thought that meant they were not seating any more parties. We arrived well before the posted closing hours so we were fine just taking the food home.

I went in to ask if we could order takeout but instead was left just standing there for several minutes in front of the register because no one was there. During that time, numerous employees just walked past/around me with no one checking in on me. I had to eventually flag down someone who was cleaning to ask if they were even still open. He told me they ran out of everything and were closed.

Please know that when potential customers take time to visit during the posted hours, they are not aware of whether you still have food or not, especially when there were no signs explicitly stating so. I completely understand that running out of food happens, but I do not agree that it should be an excuse to start ignoring the people walking in.

I am sure the place is great. This review will definitely change if we get a chance to try out the restaurant but, unfortunately, we just left with a very bad...

Place opened yesterday, but I have been keeping an eye out for a long while. If you are looking for fresh and flavorful but light dinner or lunch option, then this is the place. It is fast casual, but also offers plenty of seating and patio are where you can enjoy a variety of drinks while you hang with friends and family, and catch whatever sports event is on. I had the poke tostada, blackened salmon and chicken pastor tacos. Flavors were great, nice mix of slight heat and traditional flavors you find in Mexican food, but also had contemporary and fusion vibe. Can't wait to try other items...will go back soon and often.

Edit to above...have been back multiple times now. Have tried more items on the menu and have enjoyed them all. I am impressed with the freshness of the toppings on the tacos and other dishes. The shrimp taquitos are awesome, but my go to starter is the ahi poke tostadas. The fish dishes (white fish and salmon) where light and delicious. Rice is fairly simple/plain, but picks up flavors from salsas very well. If you need a carb fix, try the urban fries. The Oaxacan cheese and chipotle butter sauce is nice compliment to other ingredients. Go to place for fish tacos and dishes...
