Klatch Coffee Chino Hills — Restaurant in Chino Hills

When I went in to get a matcha latte on Monday, January 13 at roughly 7:00 pm, I asked for an extra 2 scoops of matcha powder to be added to my drink. The employee taking my order was extremely judgmental! She made faces at what I was ordering and even said, “we already add a heaping spoon why would you want to add 2 more” in an extremely rude and unprofessional tone. When I reiterated that I wanted the 2 extra scoops the employee rolled her eyes but said okay. While her coworker was making my drinks, the employee was laughing at my order choice, giving me side eyes, making disgusted face, and overall being rude. Eventually, two of this employes’ friends came into the store. This led the employee to start yelling and jumping up and down, running from around the counter to greet them. This would not have been an issue is the store had not been dead silent and filled with people trying to study or get work done. This bothered everyone in the store and was an extremely unprofessional way to act in your place of employment (I don’t know how she got hired here). After receiving my drinks, the employee continued to watch me walk out of the store and stare at me through the window, giving a side-eye, until she could no longer see me. I have had many good experiences at this location and highly recommend going; however, this employee completely ruined my experience today. Klatch's coffee is normally good, so I'll order from them whenever I'm in the area for lunch so I don't want to deduct too many stars from my review, but I hope someone from the store can see this.

-1 is for the mobile app system. Mobile app system supposed to be "grab & go" so people like me who have to go back to work can get the drinks quick instead of waiting in line. But Klatch's system is more like " stay & wait forever ". Mobile app order is at least 15 mins wait and the past 5 times I went I don't get my drink until 5 -10 mins later than the confirm time (so total took them 2025 mins to get my 12 coffee). The very last time I ordered, at least 10 drinks were made while I'm standing there for my mobile order (and those are the walk-in customer who came in at the same time as me). After all the orders are done and 5 mins pasted my pick up time, I ask them if they got my mobile order and they said YES it's coming up. Than 2~3 more drinks were made but none is mine. Than the barista said "your drink will be right up" & went to put away the bread. Anyways, I hope they fix their system so at least mobile order people are not on the bottom of the list to get...

I've been coming to Klatch at least twice a week to study since they opened their Chino Hills location and I just had to leave a review. Although I'm not a big coffee drinker, I do like tea, and their Paradise Tropical Iced Tea is fantastic. Beyond that, Klatch has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. The baristas greet every person who walks in with a smile and a hello; when my drinks are ready, they bring them directly to me in the upstairs loft. They come around and check in on their guests often and clear everyone's tables frequently. They're just phenomenal here! The bathrooms stay immaculate and the place is always clean. Klatch has a great rustic vibe with beautiful colors and plugs and charging points near almost every table. It's wonderful here! A special thank you to baristas Pete, Jacob, Felicity, and Tyler for always greeting me by name, genuinely asking how my day is, and just being overall excellent and friendly people!
