This dinner was really quite unsatisfactory experience. I was searching on opentable for this restaurant with a very high score and decided to give it a try even though it looked like a very new Japanese style restaurant. The waitress here came up and introduced herself warmly, and finally gave us a strange smile, and I asked my coworker why her smile was so strange, and my coworker said that hers was a fake smile, that is, but it was a bad fake smile. As we started eating we didn't particularly take it seriously. By the way, the sushi here is moderate, not too bad and not too good. But by the time the sashimi came up it was a bad start, the scallops were cut in a literal mess and the tuna toro was actually frozen, chewing on crushed ice in my mouth. We then called for the fake-smiling waitress, who simply took away the plate of sashimi away without a word, and when it came up again she didn't offer a single word of apology. Luckily this big belly was barely edible, but I could tell that one probably have been warmed up in warm water. But one bad thing is that that meat is over oxidized is no longer pink, but a deep red like raw steak. We complained about the sashimi when we got to the final check, but the fake smiling waitress said she'd waive the appetizer edamame for us. I was very confused what went wrong . The sashimi was $35 but why did you waive the $10 edamame for that appetizer? So in the end I had to just deduct most of the service charge to waive my loss. Walked in and had three other people in front of us . Go to the front of the line and let them know we had a reservation and stood back and waited for a text that said was coming and waited and waited . Meanwhile several other couples were seated before us and people came in after us were also seated . We were never acknowledged or asked why we’d were still waiting and were ignored . We waited 30 min and no response from any body there and we left . Drove another 40 min home without having eaten there WITH a reservation . We waited and waited and never got the TEXT they stated would come . We were made to look stupid standing there without anyone even asking why we’d be waiting . Called and asked for a manager to call me and waited 1 week and no word . Eventually manager called and he was far from caring and I felt that he tried so hard to get me off the phone . I asked to get a call from general manager and I was called and asked to call back and I called. I left a massage to call back and still no word from him to call me back . Read moreAfter a long day ,I decided to treat my kids and myself to a nice dinner and what better place than RA since it's a chino hills favorite. My daughter decided on outside patio....... not going to make my experience story long but our waitress was never around , felt ignored about the heater being put on after 2 reminders and wasn't turned on till another group came and another waitress sent some one. Request weren't brought ( lemon for my soy sauce and wasabi.... I had to dig the lemons out of our water) I did bring it to her attention that she was hardly being attentive and apologized but kept doing it. There were only 4 groups biggest being 5 or 6 and was divided by 2 waitresses. Never came back to see how we were doing or dropped off our bill after a while , I literally had to wait in the front to receive our check and pay. Working with people my self , I don't get how people forget what a long ways some great customer service goes.My apologies I wasn't all done up and made out like your "usual" amazing looking customers to get the same service everyone else got around us.Although I looked like a just tired mom in flip flops that had a long day and kids messy from school, looks can be deceiving tips given out of my pocket is never less than 20% - 25% but you get what...
