I hardly write reviews but I feel like I gotta give credit where credit is due. First off, Iâm new to the bike game and would always go to bicycle warehouse to pay super expensive service and products only for them to keep messing up again until one day I did my own research (thanks to these reviews) that I took a shot on this place. In the last month I have came here twice already and the dude in the back that works on the bikes is awesome and a very soft spoken professional. I had told him that my my back wheel and rim was bent which the bicycle warehouse had told me and was going to charge me $100 for the rim alone and $20 for service. He literally took out my rim and put it back and told me that it wasnât bent on it only needs a new tube. Wow! How many people can be that honest ? Not trying to make money yet tell me whatâs really wrong ? Tube was only $8 and service was $10 vice what BW was going to charge me with. I broke my chain and it was the same thing. Came in and the gentleman helped me get a new one for $30 vice what other shops were going to charge me for in the $80 and up. Moral of the story; they have earned my trust and Iâll always shop here moving forward. Support your mom and pop shops vice the big name stores. Check them out ! They also have a lot of bikes in store with really...
Read moreI came here after Trek Superstore in Solana Beach said that they "couldn't install" my air fork on my MTB because "it wasn't compatible" with my bike. They determined this after a few minutes of looking at it and my fork. I knew they were wrong so I brought it to Baja California Cycle and as suspected, the guys at Trek were wrong. They guy at this bike shop, from the looks of it a family business, greeted me with a can-do attitude and glanced at my bike and my fork and rather than look for excuses NOT work on my bike, his answer was "sure we can do it". They were less expensive than Trek, faster and without the "no bro, we can't do that" approach. They were very reasonably priced and they turned my bike around in a day whereas the cork-sniffers at Trek make you wait outside like they're doing you a favor, charge you an arm and a leg and in this case, didn't bother to bother with my bike which was clearly compatible with the fork I took to them. I have three nice MTBs and from now on, I'm taking them to Baja California Cycle where they appreciate...
Read moreBeen buying parts in this store for more than 10 years, love the service of the owner, shes always nice and happy to see customers back 'El Guero", the mechanic, he's been there since I remember, he have a good knowledge of every kind of bicycle no matter if is new or very old and he always have a good advice of what to buy or what to do for your custom projects I like to restore bikes so Im always find the old and new parts I'm looking for my bikes there, and when I customize a bike, thats the best place to go and chose what I like. There's a big bicycle shop next where I work, but nothing to do, off course they will look more attractive with all the new bike models and expensive bikes, but I never find what I need. No wonder Im always buy at BCC I think there's a shop for every people, but mine is this shop, I...
