I wend two weeks ago because i found a mom cat with her kittens i wanted to do the right thing and take them in so they dont end up being stray cats when i went they told be to wait two weeks because they had no space so I did even tho i was unable to keep with them , today i tried again and called before going in they told me just put them on the streets we don't take cats and cats are roam free animals, like why would you have a shelter for cats and recommend people to leave they in the streets especially kittens that have never been street cats as when i found them they were newborns !!! Just Wring and why ask to wait two weeks when you do not take cats in … again this was told to me by one of there employees when i called to see if they now had space

Have never been to this one before today. Went with my stepdaughter and granddaughter for them to adopt sisters. My granddaughter picked a beautiful kitten whose name is Bengal and her mom got the other one who's called Steeler.

I’m extremely disappointed in how Cincinnati Animal Care has handled a serious issue involving one of their employees who abandoned her 3 dogs and 5 cats in our shared home. She walked away from her responsibilities entirely, leaving me to care for animals that are not mine, and the shelter has refused to take in the dogs or provide any real support, despite being fully aware that this situation involves one of their staff.

This isn’t just a personal issue — it’s a matter of animal welfare and professional accountability. Any shelter that claims to prioritize the well-being of animals should take immediate action when one of their own abandons 8 pets. Instead, I’ve received no help, no solutions, and no accountability from the organization.

I'm doing everything I can to ensure these animals are safe and cared for, but the silence and refusal to help from Cincinnati Animal Care speaks volumes. This behavior is irresponsible, unprofessional, and entirely contrary to what a reputable animal shelter should stand for.

I sincerely hope this organization reevaluates its priorities and takes a long, hard look at how it responds when its own staff are involved in animal neglect.

Edit: these pets became strays once an employee of CAC abandoned all 8 animals (which violates Ohio Law). I had zero animals before CAC and this employee and then was left responsible with 8 pets so the day she abandoned them they did become strays in Blanchester. I’m not trying to cause problems or harass. In fact I never repeatedly contacted this employee or CAC except at the beginning of this matter and then 10/12 to attempt in reconciling this animal issue that I didn’t have until her and CAC where the animals came from. I’m concerned about the 8 animals that were left behind and just want to make sure they’re okay for the rest of their life. If there’s been a misunderstanding, I’ll let animal control sort it out. At the point of abandonment by their initial owner yes I took CARE of the animals and have been so lucky that Clinton County was able to help me resolve this issue that started with CAC and their employee. I pray this team is a little more understanding of truth and law before automatically sticking up for staff who abandons animals that came from CAC. To clear the air, I never wanted 8 animals. An employee and CAC dumped them on me and to this day has avoided accountability, but I learned to love these animals and re-homed them again thanks to Clinton County for helping me clean up a mess that I never asked for.

To anyone looking to rescue — this organization needs the help but don’t look to them to make things right when something goes wrong. They take an advantage of good people, mislead the public, and don’t hold staff accountable for what they do behind closed doors involving animals. I pray for CAC, truly. I’m just glad I got to meet wonderful animals and...

I don't like to post anything negative but Im very upset with how I was treated and basically told unless the animal sick or injured they will not take it in ??? Since when did they change there Animals care service šŸ¤”!!! I trap and release for many years and I feed a colony of feral cats and if there's a cat that's not a feral shows up I've always been able to bring it to them and they take it in and keep it to find owners or get it fixed and the home them plus ive worked with them over the years and they know what i do to help out with the problems of strays and ferals and in over the years I've never had a problem with them helping me with this situation and now there saying they can't help me with this community problem of people dropping there cars off on me because I been feeding this colony of cats whom I can't take on anymore cats as I live in a townhouse and they know that I can get into trouble with my management here and get evicted over this situation.not to mention they are the ones whom ask me to continue feeding these ferals cats and to trap them to be fixed and I do and they drop back off here which is how it works with feral cats but they've always have taken in the cats that belong to people whom drop them off here so I get stuck feeding them.which they are very aware that I can't feed anymore cats or have any more cats here but now they are refusing to help me ??? I thought I was doing right thing when I was asked me to trap & release for them and in the pass they've always been Great with helping me with caring for the ferals but the cats that aren't feral they...
