Sidewinder Coffee — Restaurant in Cincinnati

I live close by so I go to SW almost weekly. The product is great. I like the taste of the coffee. The flavors choices are all good. I love the burritos even though they just microwave them. The parts that ding the score for me is the service inconsistency and layout. Some days the staff is super friendly and fast. The place will be packed but you still get fast service. Sometimes they are very grumpy and slow. Sometimes they forget about your food and you have to wait even longer. The layout of the store is confusing and doesn’t make sense. They hand you coffees in the tiny hallway space where everyone walks back to the seating area. The order line blocks the front door with only 2 people in line. They have a small waiting area to left when you come in the door but then you walk through 2 lines of people to get your order. I feel a smart counter redesign would really help the flow of the...

I saw a guy writing in a notebook in the courtyard and I want to say he was just scribbling lines or maybe I just wish that was what he was doing because that would be a really funny story and not funny story is some guy writing observational poetry about people in the coffee shop. Who does he think he is? Adam Duritz of the Counting Crows? In his dreams. Okay, now I am getting angry about an imagined guy. He could have been writing a grocery list. We really need to be more charitable to strangers and our judgments about them.

Who are all these people saying that the employees here aren't friendly? I've been coming here for several years, and I've never felt unwelcome by anyone who works here. Sometimes, you get what you give, though. Maybe they're not getting warmly greeted (?).This place is awesome. I've even brought a dog in when I just popped in for something to go. They always have water outside for pups to drink, and when we were ordering, they gave me some dog biscuits for him. So, it doesn't make sense to say animals aren't welcome. I'm sure they don't want them in the back seating area or, especially, out on the patio, which would probably freak out the...
