Worst place ever. Management (younger manager) is the worst out there. His customer service, management skills and professionalism & maturity lacks generally. No people or soft skills whatsoever!! Other employees doesn’t even want to help with pricing and they make you do all their work. Others simply stand and stare at you with judgement; “crossed arms; staring looking up and down).
And this after already spending $700 in two weeks. There is one employee; young lady that wears glasses. She is the most helpful and really tries to help. Best employee in the store. Avoid the tall guy with beard and the the short young girl in charge of magic cards. Flat out rude and no personality.
I was looking at cards, and asked an employee if the person that had just walked out was Mr Peete; and he said it was. Mr Brian Peete; the other manager at the store. So I said; good because I need to talk to him. And this employee asked if there was something he or the other manager that was there can do. (The younger manager) whose name I don’t recall.
I said. “No thanks, I’ll just wait for Mr Peete to comeback. The employee went and told the younger manager and he approached me nicely asking if he could help. I responded not at that moment and was looking at cards but will let him m know.
The younger manager then said “I hear that you may have some issues with some employees in the store” I puzzled and said … “yes but I’ll talk to Mr Peete when he returned”. He didn’t like my response and started attacking me verbally and told me several times that he was refusing service to me and to comeback when Mr Peete was there. He was very disrespectful. I said I would talk to Mr Peete or other management and he gave me a post it with Mr Peete email’s address written on it.
I walked out. !!!

Read moreLately i have been disappointed with all three locations.
I collect Pokémon cards. And I use to be able to go to all three locations, and buy packs, booster boxes, and they would have the cases stocked with singles.
But now, I sense a shift. A shift that is also disappointing. They rarely carry packs and booster boxes. The case of singles has gotten bad too. Almost no graded cards and i would be lucky to find cards that weren’t dominated by LP or HP condition. Im not sure what happened, but I’m sure it affects sales.
To have Pokémon decor all over your guys shop, is misleading when its heavily dominated by Magic the Gathering. Nothing wrong with Magic of course. Then to find out you guys carry 0 Pokémon packs/etb’s/boosters, are you guys just moving on from Pokémon? Ive probably spent a good 10K at your guys store. But you guys are neglecting a fanbase. I’d say get it together and try to find a way to reinvigorate yourself. Not even just on a “Pokémon” level. But the stores feel trendy and lackluster.
Not sure if anyone else feels this way. I found 2 great card shops im probably going to. A-1 comics has officially lost its touch. Maybe shrink your stores down to 1...

Original review: The store staff are really friendly, helpful, and informative. They're very honest - if they don't know something, they'll say they don't know, but they'll usually refer you to a coworker in the store who does know. When the store is isn't busy, the staff make sure that everyone is helped, has a personalized experience, and answer all questions without rushing the customer. However, when busy, they rush you - even when you're just looking. They even help those that are hard of sight, letting them see things up close or reading it to them. The staff are also funny and talkative, telling personal experiences related to what you're shopping for - it helps us socially awkward people come out of our shell and feel more welcome, while being able to relate to someone. I highly recommend you try A1, they're awesome - just don't...
