Extremely frustrated with the staff at this studio. First, I travel often and I was concerned I wouldn't be able to make it to classes I book and it won't be a once in a blue oon situation and would happen often to which I was told I could cancel and they can always waive off the cancelation charges given my case. Then I had to travel overseas and returned after two months and sign up for a program with them and notice the first time I canceled a class that I was originally wait listed for (I must have gotten in a few hours later which was night) and when I got a yogasix notification reminding me of the class I canceled it i got charged $10. This surprised me because when I was shopping around for yoga studios I was promised that I won't have to worry about cancellation charges. I felt unfair and so I called and a very frustrating customer care lady I spoke with Sandey Goodman an were and kept repeating the same information over and over again. Several times interrupting me, not letting me finish and hence not understanding what I was saying..and kept reading the terms and conditions like I was talking to IVR. I asked her why was I hearing different things compared to what I was promised in February and she goes on to explain to me about how what I had signed up in February was a trial class and not actual class whereas I'm trying to explain to her that during my trial class I inquired about subscribing to the class every month and was provided that information at front desk. Only if she heard me in entirety and didn't want to rush in reading the terms and conditions for the 1000tb time. For something that should have taken only 10 mins, I was on the call with her for around 30 minutes getting super frustrated and pulling my hair. Unbelievable that this is the staff of a yoga studio. A place that should provide you with mental peace frustrating and harassing customers / yogis. I do not recommend this place at all for their unreasonable staff. And will be discouraging my friends to sign up here, too bad I had asked them to accompany me. If you're looking for a yoga place, look elsewhere but definitely not this one. Do not be robbed of mental peace in an effort to learn yoga. I'll be on the lookout again for a yoga place and reach out to me and I'll share my research with you. I'm extremely mad at the conversation I had. I'll be posting this review everywhere to help other folks. I am also reaching out to Xponential fitness that owns yogasix and I'll look up yogasix owners on LinkedIn to bring attention to the terrible staff at Westchase Yogasix.
PS- also making it unbelievably difficult for clients to quit the program. You have a form to sign up and apparently can't call them and say you want to discontinue because they...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePrevious 5 star review, updated due to an extremely poor cancellation interaction with the Owner. When I joined the studio (with the GM), my signed contract stated a 15 day cancellation notice. When I inquired about cancellation due to the growing class sizes (personal COVID preferenceā not comfortable with less than three feet between mats and no masks), it was shared that 30 days notice needed to be given. As these terms were not agreed upon when I activated my membership, I requested a copy of my signed contract. Obtaining this was a struggle. The Owner shared that the policy was updated as of January (I joined in November 2020), however no member notice stating the update/change was sent or received. After receiving a copy of my signed contract, I was able to provide highlighted screenshots showing the 15 day cancellation policy that was signed off on. The signed contract also stated that YogaSix could change any term in the agreement at any time, ONLY AFTER giving 30 days notice to the member and allowing them to deny (and cancel) or accept (and remain) the new terms. The same day that I inquired about cancellation and received my signed contract, the studio sent out a mass email finally notifying the studio members of the cancellation change. After going back and forth (in person, via phone, and via email) with the Owner, the initial terms that I joined under and signed off on were finally honored.
My previous review (below) still holds true... GREAT instructors and awesome classes. Simply updating due to poor business practices displayed by the Owner.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I work in the fitness industry so my expectations are high. Joined this studio at the end of November 2020 and have been going consistently ever since. Love the variety of classes offered (Wednesday morning Sculpt and Flow with Cole and Sunday morning Hot with Kelley are my favs -- both have GREAT music). Instructors are kind, encouraging, and motivating. Studio team knows you by name....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never leave reviews !! Usually not that angry but this is worth the read and heads up.
I signed up to try this location with a friend on class pass. I live 35 minutes away. The class starts at 5:00, with rush hour traffic and parking (never been to this location so I had difficulty navigating, left earlier to give myself time) I opened the door at 5:01 (not exaggerating). They wouldnāt allow me to join the class. I asked if there were any positions in the class where it would be acceptable for me to join the class as other locations let the late participants wait and join when appropriate. They told me no.
I explained I drove 35 minutes to meet a friend here, is there no forgiveness on just a minute past?
She said there was nothing she could do, itās out of her control and the instructors control it. They must have started before 5:00 start time for this to have been an issue (they were already in down dog by time I got there!! Thatās what the front desk had told me).
The front was nice and you could tell she wanted to let me in but the instructors have apparently made it an uncomfortable situation. I understand respecting peopleās time and being punctual is important, but this is crazy and Iām not sure Iād even truly consider this as ālateā.
Thank god the front desk was nice enough to mark me as present so I wasnāt charged on class pass (or, as far as I know, I donāt have proof of that yet).
I know they get lots of reviews and I know that nothing will be done to make this up, but wow I wish they would at least give me some gas money and my time back, lol.
The Clearwater and st.pete locations are much better and my experience with their instructors have been great. I recommend going to those yogasixās or joining a local practice...
