Auburn Farmers Co-op Market — Local services in City of Auburn

Good farmer's market, but they only put updates on their Facebook page which is not accessible unless you have a Facebook account. The website is outdated. The vendors are friendly and helpful, except for Horsford Farms. I usually avoid them because in the past several years, I have often received poor customer service or get ignored when I try to purchase anything from their tent. Today (8/7/21), I needed two big beefsteak tomatoes, and they were the only vendor that seemed to have what I needed. Two women at their tent gave me a hard time when I tried to confirm that the large tomatoes in front of me were beefsteak. They tried to bully me and then trick me into buying Roma tomatoes for my recipe (which I did not ask for their advice on). When I refused and said I needed beefsteak, they then treated me like I was stupid and got angry because I didn't want Roma! They walked off in a huff after making a snotty remark. I would have left, but a nice young man came right up and assisted me and sold me the tomatoes. This is bizarre and unprofessional behavior. Whatever happened to "the customer is always right"? I usually spend between $20 and $40 whenever I go to this farmer's market, but I am certainly done with giving Horsford Farms any more chances. They clearly do not need nor want my business, and I will continue to tell all my friends, family, and acquaintances to avoid them at the farmer's market. There are other vendors, farmer's markets and grocery stores...

I have experienced the same disrespectful and rude behavior with a young man at horsford booth.I know its difficult to find good help,but also got the what do you want me to do about it excuse,not only from Bob Horsford but also from the bradford bakery owner.Eventually i was given an apology but then again it wasn't sincere and it was several weeks later when that happened.I love to support my local farmers market,but i was taught the golden rule treat others the way you want...
