The building has continued to allow a single commercial tenant to continuously blast loud music through an entire section of the buildings apartments starting as early as 5:30 AM. The attached photo posted by another resident in the buildings elevator yesterday tells you everything you need to know. Be prepared to be told to move out at your own cost if you are unfortunate enough to move in to the impacted section of the building. Furthest thing from a luxury experience. Be prepared to wake up to screaming yelling and blasting music with people punching boxing bags.

Village Square is located in Downtown Glen Cove. It is surrounded by municipal buildings, cafes and restaurants. There is a bus and train station nearby. There are also many bank branches. Centrally located in a very good location

I had a confirmed appointment to see an apartment only to show up for my appointment and find out the leasing office is CLOSED today. Thank you for wasting my time in the middle of a Monday. Completely unprofessional!

Feels like a luxury resort when you walk in. Beautifully done, modern, new, clean. Awesome amenity spaces. Beautiful apartment views and awesome location when the pandemic is over. Staff is super sweet, friendly and professional. I love the layout of my apartment.

I wish I could say its perfect because I do love it so much but there are some issues. I feel bad complaining because the staff is so nice but there are some real issues.

My main complaint is that when I signed the lease I was promised that the construction would be done, and it was nowhere near done upon move in, and is still not done now.

This has caused some minor inconveniences, but the real problem is...

the constant false fire alarms!!!!!!

They are extremely loud disruptive and terrifying. It is a safety hazard because like the boy who cried wolf each time I believe it less and less. At first, I would grab my pets and valuables and run to the nearest stairwell and run down the stairs. Now I sit and wait because its fake like all ways. If there was ever a real fire everyone would burn because we all will assume its fake. This is not normal and NEEDS to be investigated and dealt with. A text or call alert needs to be automatically sent out as well. The disturbance is not something to brush off. I cant explain how loud it is and it happend at all times of the day and night. I have been woken up my it numerous times. Last week there were 4 false alarms in the span of 2 days. Since I have moved in about 4 months ago the fire alarm has gone off probably every 2 weeks.

Heres some other little problems I have:

The closet is also made to have adjustable shelves and hanging racks, but they were not included with the apartment.

I was also not informed of a garbage fee or other little fees they added in.

My dishwasher did not work my entire first month and after being persistent in complaining they finally replaced it.

In the maintenance closet with like machinery I don't know what is all is but there was a horrible smell coming out of it , turns out they didn't install something called a "P" trap. I don't know what that is but I am assuming that means I was breathing in some kind of fume.

When touring I asked about the recycling and emphasized its importance to me, they assured me there would be a recycling bin but there wasn't one for the first like 3 or 4 months despite me emailing them every few weeks inquiring about it.

The app needs push notifications. My email is full of delivery notifications, and when I have a maintenance request or need to message someone via the app, I dont get notified upon response.

The "24 hr" concierge is not always there. I was locked out of my apartment and waiting in the lobby for over an hour and eventually had to ask another resident to call maintenance for me. The concierge never showed up.

Im super short and I can't reach any of my kitchen cabinets so I needed to buy a ladder. This may just be a problem for short people though.

Basically all of the issues listed are because the building is not finished. Hopefully all this will be worked out eventually. I normally wouldn't bother to complain about inconveniences due to the unfinished building, I would have not even cared about any of it if it was not for the fire alarms. I feel bad complaining because the staff is so so so nice and I know that with new huge projects like this there are bound to be mishaps and setbacks, but this fire alarm thing is simply...

Lived here for 14 months, did not renew my lease. Current tenants, please make sure to request an itemized bill of “repairs” when you move out. They initially told me $200, then in the next phone call, the manager stated $250. Once I asked for an itemized bill (which is within the tenants’ rights), it magically went down to $100, and she claims she “misspoke”. My package of expensive earrings went missing and all they did was shrug their shoulders and ask me repeatedly over the next few days if I had found my package. Um?! NO! YOU are supposed to look for it, you have access to the cameras, I do not. They took zero accountability. All of the staff, with exception of ONE maintenance worker, left. There were maybe 3 different managers during my time there. The lobby flooded, the garages were constantly flooding. In one week, three pipes had burst, our water was getting turned off to repair pipes. These apartments were not built to last, and they are already falling apart. The wall in our living room from floor to ceiling had a crack in it. They actually have had such a hard time filling empty apartments, that they are participating in the affordable housing lotteries just to get people to move into the empty units. These apartments are WAYYYY overpriced, only reason I signed on was because they had a promotion that offered two months free with a 12 month lease. Otherwise, I would never had moved there. Overrated, overpriced, and there isn’t even much to do there. We overheard someone giving a tour claiming that “we are right on Main Street, there’s always so much to do!”, that is a blatant lie. And they had an open house for potential tenants (no one was there), and my grandmas blood sugar was low (she’s 81), they had a spread of bagels, juice, pastries…I went to grab a muffin for my grandma and a man came up to me saying it’s “only for the open house guests”. Like really? You’re gonna have this huge spread of food and it’s not even for the people that are ALREADY PAYING to live there?? It was laughable. The entire place is a disorganized mess. And all the construction going on downstairs for the ground floor retailers is...

100 Village square and RXR are con artists masquerading as landlords. Do not move into 100 village square. The building has had home invasions and multiple break ins, yet the locks are always broken and the doors are left open. I’ve lived here for over 2 years. The only person still working here from when I moved in is Victoria, the leasing agent. 100 village square has issues with rodents, yuck! There’s giant rat traps in the parking garage, watch for small pets. The parking garage floods every time there’s sun showers, they charge an arm and a leg to park btw. There’s always trash in the compactor room on my floor, they do not like cleaning. I’ve heard staff harassing my elderly neighbors about how they need to take their giant boxes downstairs, folded and packed away nicely. The entire second floor was damaged from a flood. Many units had to be completely redone, and a lot of corners were cut. I was not disclosed of this fact along with many others. My unit has been a disaster since moving in. It took the Maintance team 8 months to make one of my bathrooms up to code, after knowing I fell in the shower. There’s loud sounds from the “irrigation system” that emits all thoroughout my living room whenever the sprinklers are on, the Maintance team went into my neighbors unit and broke his wall. Does that make sense? Lol. Yes. The staff do not speak English very well, this is by design for plausible deniability. You do not have permission to enter my home whenever you want. You must set up a time and date before I allow you into my home which I pay $4000...
