This review is solely for Lori Pessone at cosmetic center.
Today I would like to call it my lucky day because of Lori. I ran into Walgreens to find a eyeliner for an emergency rescue. I am an ignorant when comes to makeups. I rarely put any on. At most I would just do eye liner and some facial foundation. I started searching at the cosmetic area and so not productive. I heard someone asked a customer if she needed help on finding things and the customer declined. I did not know what happened at the same moment I just went over her asked if she could help me find a day brown eye liner ( normally I would never ask anyone in store to help because I would be so embarrassed that if people knew I knew nothing about cosmetic and makeup. But I am SO glad I walked out my comfort zone today. She is Lori Pessone! An angle came down to rescue me.
Lori first looked st my face quickly and pin pointed my skin problems. She was so knowledgeable and so patient about all skin types, completion s and colors! We went through from lip stick, eye shadow, eye liner, cleanser, brush, moisturizer etc. For the first time, I got a color that was PERFECT for my complexion!!! I was so thrilled! I could saw a much more beautiful me instantly in the mirror at the store! I could NOT believe it happened in a Walgreens! LOL! Lori asked me what moisturizer I currently use. I said La Mer. She made a funny face right after and told me why.... she taught me how to professionally clean up my face with cleanser she highly recommended, as well as how to apply makeup correctly.
Lori is so knowledgeable and she absolutely took time with me on trying colors that she saw unique and fabulous in me from a licensed makeup artist view. I honestly thought I would never look pretty in makeups. But Lori changed that today!
She not only picked up all my makeup needs but also all came in with great prices! I can not wait I wake up tomorrow and put on a brand new "face"! Thank you, Lori!!
Beautiful things can happen in Walgreens. Lol. I would start going here rather than going to department stores from...
Read moreThis has got to be quite literally the worst pharmacy ever. I go here out of convenience but honestly I’m gonna have to stop, it’s just not worth the frustration. The pharmacy staff are incompetent. They don’t communicate with one another. One will tell you one thing, the other will say something completely different. I have never been able to fill a Rx here without at least one complication or mistake made by them. They routinely cancel my Rx refills without explanation. When I call to inquire, they have no reason and go ahead and fill it. If there is a problem with insurance, the cancel the Rx. They never call to explain they just cancel and let you figure it out. I’m traveling and needed to fill my Rx early so to avoid them making a mistake I called my insurance company and had them send an over ride, I called the pharmacy, the woman on the phone said it went through. When I went to pick it up, they said it never went through. When I called my insurance, they said the pharmacy was the one who rejected the override….what?!?! I had to do the whole thing over again, calling the pharmacy every step of the way to make sure they knew not to reject it again. The...
Read morePeople who are not so nice..... It was a sweltering 90 degrees at around 10am. I finished my business at the local Walgreens & had a 10-15 minute wait for a friend I was meeting at the store. Instead of waiting in the heat outside I opted to wait in the comfort of the Air conditioned store and like any other woman started to flip thru the fashion magazines. Maybe I was there for 10-15 mins when the senior gentleman cashier walked up to me and said “ Ma’am this is not a library” I smiled apologized profusely and walked out of the cold store to a warm Mother Nature outside. Agree... the magazines are for sale and it’s not really good manners to read them. The store was empty..I was not really occupying precious space. Yet the cashier left his station specially to police me. Awesome unnecessary dedication. Only in New York do people make an extra special effort to be...
