See's Candies Volume Savings — Local services in City of Industry

Every year I spend about $1,000 in sees candy for Christmas. I usually buy the gift certificates at Costco which are (2) 1lb boxes for $28.99, and then go redeem them at sees in the west Covina mall. This year costco changed it up and is offering (2) $25 gift cards for $38.99. A co-worker told me to go to sees on hacienda and they were much cheaper. I stopped by there the other day and talked to the manager Olivia. She indicated if you spend over $700 you will get a discount card and there deal will be much better than costco sees but I wouldn't be able to custom make the boxes. I figured if I save a couple bucks a box I would rather get the better deal. I bought about $1,000 in the pre packaged boxes. As I was driving home I did the math. Since I spent over $700 each box came out to $15.30 a box and they are originally 19.30. Costco still had the better deal, and I could custom make the boxes like I do every year. The very next morning I go to return the chocolate and Olivia came out belittling me. She charged out the back door and was trying to embarrass me saying she isn't going to accept the return. I explained that she was wrong and costco came out cheaper. She said no she wasn't. She told me it was simple math and go back to second grade. She is still there telling the customers that they are cheaper when they are not. She is giving false information, she is extremely rude and loves to belittle people. I have never met with someone so unprofessional. We called customer service while there and she came out and charged again telling me I don't know who your wife is calling but the answer is NO!!! Costco is cheaper than Sees, and when your buying the amount that I am it matters. Olivia is extremely rude and if she represents sees in any way they are in trouble. No not shop here. After looking the reviews from other customers,I agree with them that customer service is bad with Carolyn service.

With See's Candies are a reputable company and celebrating 100 years anniversary,they should look into staffing which brings bad reputation to the company.

I went to the store to purchase 10 boxes of choclates and I think she was not happy that I used gift card from Costco and she said 5 of my gift card was Zero balance and how can Costso sell it to me with an empty balance card which after buying in Costco I went directly to the store to purchase chocolates.

She was very friendly the the customer before me and cause the are regular customers and also friends.But when came to my turn the service is extremely bad.

When I called the store,she told me 10 boxes of chocolates can't be prepare in 1Hour 30 Min.

But after purchasing it,she told me she need 3hours cause only 2 person working in the store.

Hope the management look into your staff attitude and this will ruin your company reputation.

Worst experience from employee Carolyn T !!

Not only did she yell at me in front of customers which was both embarrassing for me and the store.

To top if off they weren't even busy and Carolyn T was rude, rushing people through their purchase, no greetings or thank you!

I was skipped by Carolyn T in line and didnt complain and she was even rude to the women before me, so rude they were confused and came back to ask why they weren't even given samples.

I asked for the managers name and card and was cut off after asking for her name. I hope Olivia reads this and realizes that as long as Carolyn T is working there I will not be shopping for See's Chocolates.

Never have I encountered such a rude See's employee in over 10 years of going to this store. Maybe some unique employees but none as rude...
