Ok to begin I've been going here since I was 5 or so I'm told. I'm 27 now. I'm going to try and be as honest as possible while also giving my opinion so here goes.
To start if you're looking for low fat pho go somewhere else. Golden noodle in West covina might be more your alley, which is also pretty good. The pho here is heavy; you can see the fatty oil in it.
With that in mind it is delicious and a great pick-me-up. Feeling hung over, have a pho. Feeling sick with the flu, have a pho. Need energy cuz you're tired or had a late night, have a pho. This place was made for the everyday laborer, heavy worker. Unfortunately like all pho, you will get hungry after 3-4 hours.
I have tried the egg rolls and they're good. The 42 and 32 ( same dish one had noodle the other uses rice) are also good... Caution they are hotter than the soup. You can order a chicken broccoli with rice which is nice and plain.
As for service, they're straight to the point. They aren't mean they just want to get things done as quickly as possible. They aren't going to rush you to leave either but they will pick up empty plates and clean up around you. They like to have the tables be clean. Which is hard considering the customers (lots of mechanics and similar professions..been guilty of this).
The atmosphere... Well umm there are 4 walls....the tables...the chairs...a tv that may play sports if anything is on that interests them (usually soccer or tennis..it varies)...pictures of the food on the walls....yeah there's no "atmosphere". You sit down and you eat. And it's been that way since I remember.
Restrooms are usually kept pretty clean. I have seen a few times people leave mess behind but they do a good job of keeping clean.
Some reviews on here have mentioned that utensils and dishes have had residue on them and weren't completely spotless. Honestly they're right.
Wanna have a good time, don't pay to much attention to details and you'll be fine. I have eaten there for years and have never gotten sick there. Forks have generally been pretty clean. The bowls as well. Cups and chopsticks have had some residue on them but I've seen that at applebees and others as well so ehhhh it's a restaurant you want spotless dishes good luck. It's disinfected so it's good enough.
With all that said I love this place and will continue going here. If possible dine in... The pho is never the same if you take it home.
Oh and...

I recently visited this Vietnamese restaurant, and it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was appalling. The staff seemed indifferent and rude, showing no interest in making us feel welcome. It took an unreasonably long time for anyone to take our order, and when they finally did, they were dismissive and unhelpful.
The real problem, however, was the food. I ordered a bowl of pho, expecting a flavorful, comforting dish. Instead, what arrived was far from edible. The broth smelled sour and rancid, immediately raising concerns about its freshness. The taste confirmed my suspicions – it was spoiled. The meat was rubbery and had a strange odor, and the vegetables were wilted and unappealing. It was clear that the ingredients were not fresh, and I couldn’t even finish the dish.
When we mentioned the issues to our server, they were completely dismissive and offered no apology or solution. The manager, when called, was equally uninterested, claiming the food was “fine” and refusing to address our concerns.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The service was rude, the food was spoiled, and the management showed no care for their customers’ satisfaction or safety. I would strongly advise against eating here – there are far better Vietnamese restaurants in the area that care about their food quality and customer experience. Save your time and money by...
Read moreI've been here a million times and its time to review this place! Pho Hoa is the place I use to compare other Pho restaurants in the greater LA. It's comparable to the amazing ones in Little Saigon...yes, it's that good!
Don't expect amazing service here and you better damn know what you want to order because the gents here are on your ass once you're seated. You could see their inpatient looks for your order, haha!
If you don't know what to order, get #1 or #3 (classic pho noodle soup) which are the same expect #1 is larger in portion. The best part about this restaurant is getting extra sides of veggie without a charge. More onion, CHECK! More basil, CHECK! More soup, CHECK! Free??? Awesome!!!
The Vietnamese coffee and egg rolls are also outstanding...don't forget to wrap your rolls in the lettuce and basil they give you. If you like spicy, I alway put a slice of jalapeño into my fish sauce to kick it up a notch!
Plenty of parking here and you can also skip over to Spearmint Rhino if that's your thing afterwards...it's in the same plaza.
Last but not least,...
