Black Oak Tavern — Restaurant in City of Oneonta

Black Oak is an awesome spot for a strong drink and a great performance. One of the things I appreciate most is how inclusive they are—they regularly host drag shows that highlight local talent, and there's often live music too. The patrons tend to be pretty friendly as well. It’s always a good time!

There are two pool tables in the back, and the overall vibe is that perfect kind of dive bar—unpretentious and fun. We love stopping by after a show at the Foothills.

They usually post a few drink specials on the wall, but otherwise, it’s best to know what you want since there isn’t a printed menu (which totally works for a place like this). Make sure to bring cash for your drinks! Luckily they have an ATM if you forget. Also, FYI, they don't offer food here.
