It’s been over a month now and I haven’t heard anything back from this company after they sent someone to come into my home and take measurements and pictures of my broken, insured piece of furniture! They will take all of your money and assure you the insurance program they have is reliable BUT IT ISNT!!!!! DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! ASHLEY FURNITURE&JOETAHANS FURNITURE. Two out of three pieces of the furniture I have purchased from this company within the last YEAR has either the material or pieces of it falling apart and breaking. My initial appointment for someone to come look at my broken furniture was forgotten about at the store. My husband called the day they were supposed to come and they told him he had absolutely no appointments ever made with them what so ever. They called back maybe 30 minutes later and without even apologizing for their glitch they told him they would be there sometime that day still and that we did have an appointment that was made by us prior. Amid the sea of various mattresses in several rooms, she never bothered to show me mattresses the proper size--only suggesting that I search (on my own) for other brands. Other Tahan stores may be adequate or better, but they could be no worse than the outlet in Rome, NY.
Got angrier and angrier about the lack of service and the mattress I felt I got stuck with because of it, so went to the main branch to complain in person. A manager there granted me the courtesy of actually helping me choose quality product, and consequently made a sale for twice what I'd paid in Rome.
I still don't know why Tahan's doesn't fire employees who sleep on the job or are so indifferent and incompetent that they slothfully lose out on a nearly $500 sale rather than be bothered with showing SOME effort to assist a customer, but at least not ALL of Tahan's need be tainted by the lack of professionalism at the...
