I'm absolutely disgusted with the way one of your employees behaved toward my 12 year old daughter. So angry, in fact, I walked out and I'm driving 45 minutes to get to the central square location where we are always treated with respect. This employee apparently had his personal phone plugged in where all the sample phones are plugged in, and as my daughter was checking out the phones, apparently she locked his phone. He ripped it out of her hand and accused her of erasing all his information...which is impossible considering she never even got into the phone. Afterward, he stood there with his face beat red cursing to himself and shaking his head all mad making my daughter upset and feel guilty like she did something wrong. How embarrassing for her! I said how dare you speak to my daughter like that...isn't this a place of business?! He just continued to shake is head with his beet red face and a nasty look on his face. Eric Vaughn helped me in the store and hooked me up with a great phone from my favorite service provider. About a week later, I had some issues with my bill and couldn't get anywhere with Verizon. Called Eric right up, problem was solved within 15 minutes. Today, I tried to pay off the balance on a disconnected line. My Verizon and Verizon customer service we're autrocious. This location is the definition of a scammy authorized retailer. The manager was aggressively pushy, and that pressure trickled down to the rest of the staff. They enrolled me in Verizon Home Device Protection without explaining that it’s basically just an overpriced extended warranty — not real insurance or meaningful protection.
Worse, they charged me $19/month for phone insurance that costs only $8/month in the Verizon app. That’s a 137% markup for the same coverage, minus the extended warranty.
They stack unnecessary add-ons into something they call a “flex sheet,” making it look like a deal, then slam your account with extra charges after the fact. It’s a shady upselling tactic, and you won’t realize you’ve been had until the bill arrives.
