OK so the staff there were very friendly and that's why I kind of feel bad about the 1 star but I want it to be known that the 1 star is only because of the food. My wife ordered some sort if bean burrito thing and oh my God was it terrible I tried it and I literally had to spit it out the beans were incredibly overcooked and not good at all. I had the Carne asada burrito and I don't think I have ever tasted meat this bad before. It had ZERO and I mean ZERO flavor the meat was dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a looooong time. We were the only customers there and sadly I think I know why. Not a whole lot of options around here for Mexican food and it's my wife and I's favorite so we really had our fingers crossed but unless they get a different cook we will not be back. Also I'm not sure how their reviews are so high? I have a feeling they may be tampering with that. So if your reading negative reviews to try and make your mind up please take all of thus into consideration we spent $30 and had to literally throw everything in the trash. To the owner I'm sorry but unless you can hire a new cook I have to be honest with you. Constructive criticism is always...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered about $30 dollars worth of food. Was told AFTER ordering that the items I selected would take 15 minutes to prepare then received completely wrong change. I was going to tip the change anyways so chalk it up to an error.
I ended up waiting closer to 30 minutes total only to receive uncooked corn tortillas basically just loaded with poorly chopped cabbage.
Even having spent years cooking tacos in restaurants I've literally never had tacos as poorly executed as these. Ive fired people for making better food than this before. At a fundamental level the ingredients are prepared incorrectly, the tacos are assembled incorrectly, the order was wrong, it took forever and I didn't even get the correct change.
I'm wondering how this place has so many good reviews, have people just not had a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time eating here today. My husband and I are from the area but lived in Arizona for 10 years. We miss all of the authentic Mexican food from when we lived there. We heard about this place and happened to be in Rome so we decided to try it. As soon as we walked in and looked at the menu, we knew it was going to be good. We met the owners Ashley & Raul and they were lovely people. We chatted about all things Arizona and realized we lived in the same town! The ingredients were fresh and legit. It really reminded us of the spots that we loved in AZ. We had the Arizona Burrito, a Carne Asada rice bowl, elote and white queso. Everything was amazing. If you are looking for authentic, look no further. We will definitely be...
