Every time I go in that store (and I go a lot due to the fact I am an instacart shopper) there is several employees that are just out right rude. God for bid you bother to ask them a question they make you feel like your bothering them and just point in a direction of where a product should be. Yesterday was my last time I step foot in that store. The women with the long hair in a pony tail (who is always in a bad mood) was at her register. Her light was on. She walked away and stated that she would be back in a second. So I put 2 customers products up on the belt. When she came back she said to me real snotty that she was closed. I put all the stuff back in the cart pushed it aside and told them this is why I do not shop here. I canceled my order on instacart letting them know they must be closed due to the lack of employees and left. I filed a complaint with corporate and will be calling management of that store and letting everyone know of all my experiences with that woman in that store. Apparently I’m not the only person who’s had a problem with her cause I’ve has several other people complain to me about the same thing. As long as that woman work in that store I will not shop there or take an order...
Read moreIt's fun to discover Aldi all over again and an Aldi downtown none-the-less. This store makes it possible for Rome's working poor to eat better. I saw veterans from the VFW doing shopping after visiting their next door lodge. I saw mothers stocking up with a week's worth of food for their children. I loved how one clerk carefully loaded a bin high and wide with fresh green bananas. One day, I'll understand how to shop at Aldi for all my culinary needs. I even considered buying the convection oven on special for twenty-five bucks, capable of roasting a chicken efficiently in easy to clean glass. I found chewable vitamins and fish oil pills but not the modestly priced Vitamin D3 I love to buy at Trader Joes. Aldi has big expansion plans so look for one in a hard working...
Read moreI just returned home from Aldi's Rome. I requested $5 in cash but found that I'd been given a $10 bill. I will return the overage tomorrow unless, by chance, my son and his wife will agree to make a return trip after they've completed their errands today.
Please don't be upset with your cashier. It was an honest mistake and certainly does not affect my opinion of her or your store. My impression of your staff has always been that they are hard-working, dedicated people and it is for that reason reason your store is such a success in our...
