I strongly caution anyone against doing business with Spot Auto. My experience was not only frustrating but also a glaring example of unethical and careless practices.

First, the process was unnecessarily invasive. I’ve purchased vehicles before and never had to jump through the hoops they required—personal references, contacting my HR department, and other intrusive steps. Still, because of my situation, I proceeded.

On the day I went to pick up the vehicle—scheduled a week in advance— and took off time from work to make sure that I would be able to just go in and out and pick it up however it wasn’t even ready. I waited two to three hours before finally getting the car, only to find out later that it was riddled with issues. They put used tires on the vehicle, and I ended up sliding off the road the next week when it snowed and getting into a fender bender with another vehicle because of these tires that had barely enough tread to even pass. When I went to go get the tires changed the mechanic said I don't know how these tires passed inspection. After driving only three to four thousand miles, I discovered they hadn’t even changed the oil, as in there was no oil in the engine whatsoever. Now I can understand a vehicle that has extremely high mileage having this issue, but the vehicle only had just over 70,000, mi when I purchased it. So it didn't have an oil consumption issue nor was the model that I purchased known for having oil consumption issues, despite slapping an inspection sticker on it.
