This is the local go-to for hibachi. Nestled in a run-of-the-mill shopping center, this place has quality and a certain amount of class that is very attractive. Love the modern atmosphere and the way they have organized the space. There are three main sections - the bar that also hosts the maitre-d area, the hibachi seating, and regular seating. The entire restaurant has lovely decor and an attractive modern vibe. The hibachi area can host four hibachi chefs at once and it's where the restrooms are also located. The first time we went it was relatively busy but we were able to be seated; however, our second time was a Monday night and it was pretty quiet. Ive had hibachi in the past and it was always consistently phenomenal, and this place is no different. If you dont know what hibachi is its pretty much a style of dining where the chef comes out and cooks the food right in front of you on a hot, open flat-top while simultaneously entertaining you. It must all be one script/style because pretty much other hibachi places I've been too have the chefs doing the same thing (the fire, tossing the food to mouths, pouring sake into mouths, etc) which is cool when you think about it, but it could get repetitive if you frequent hibachi. The hibachi chefs here are comical, friendly, open, and great at what they do. The food always comes out tasting delicious. The pricing is a bit up there if you're going for dinner (an average of $20+ per person), but they have nice lunch special deals for their regular menu and hibachi. The money spent is worth the food and experience though. Their sushi is very delicious and presented beautifully. It tastes very fresh which is always a good thing; needless to say I'm impressed. The staff here is also very friendly as well as professional. It's wonderful to see such an excellent hibachi restaurant here in this area, and I hope it...

I am sooo ecstatic & very happy 😊 that our Small Town (Rotterdam), now has a Hibachi Steakhouse! Sake Bon II, is AMAZING 😱 in ALL ways! I want to thank Jay Zee, from Rock Paper Scissors Salon, for introducing me & my family to Sake Bon. We have now become frequent regulars. Owners, Susan & Steven are awesome...staff: Luna, Anna, Kevin, Vicki, Yuna & all the others, are really TERRIFIC, AMAZING & AWESOME!!! We consider them part of our Family, just like they consider us part of their families. They take good care of us when we walk in through the restaurant doors. They know what we like & not only are they attentive to our likes, they do a great job in taking care of their all around customers. The Food...OMG! 😱 !! It is freaking delicious 😋! We order the Sake Deluxe: Rice 🍚 with veggies, noodles 🍜, Scallops, Shrimp 🍤, Lobster & Filet Mignon...all of that for $37. 😱😱😱 Their Rock Shrimp 🍤 Appetizer...the sauce that it's coated in...OMG! Delicious 😋! The fried ice cream 🍦...Awesome! Chocolate Mousse Cake 🎂!! Again, Delicious 😋! And, let me say this, I'm not too much of a beer 🍺 & sake 🍶 drinker, but I've tried their Sake Bomb drink there for the 1st time (as u see in the pic) & I loved it. It's very light & taste real good. All I have to say, if you go here, ask for Susan & tell them, Kim sent you. I'm telling you, you...

What a great treat! Stopped by here with the family a few weeks back and had a great dining experience. So we decided to pop in again, and they didn't disappoint. The atmosphere is welcoming, they have a hibachi grill "Ting Ting Flip" room for parties, a sushi bar, and a nice dining area. It's all a great use of space for a restaurant that isn't necessarily huge, but also does not feel cramped. There's mild background music playing, so you never feel awkward between chats. And the lighting is just right, without being too dim or annoyingly bright.

I started with Crab Rangoons and a California Roll. The rangoons were crispy and delicious. The California roll was fresh and hit the spot. But the Basil Chicken really blew me away tonight. It came with a mushroom broth soup which was yummy and a simple Japanese salad with a delicious sesame dressing ~ perfect for that umami craving.

The main course Basil Chicken was packed with vegetables, perfectly cooked chicken, and although it was mild, had a nice kick to it. On display mushrooms, red and green peppers, onion, eggplant, broccoli, and asparagus. Really a full serving of all the good vegetables you need! The basil was not overpowering, and complimented the rest of the dish with that basil pop of flavor.

Definitely will come back to order...

This is THE place in Rotterdam for sushi! I’ve gone to a few other restaurants for sushi in the area, but this by far takes title of the best. Service is always fast and top notch. For a regular dine in experience for 3, probably there for about 40 minutes. I have only ever done regular dining here, so I cannot comment on the hibachi. Ordered an appetizer and 3 sushi rolls for about $25 per person. Prices are going rate compared to other local places. Not competitively low, but much worth it. Overall recommend coming to this place for sushi. I’ve only ever ordered that here, but why both with anything else. Menu is easy to read and understand so no mistake on what exactly you’re getting. Very appropriate sizing for the prices.
