Absolutely a horrible (would rate zero stars if I could) decision to hire Shannon Doan and the Stanley Law Office for my Social Security Disability claim! First situation was when we had a scheduled meeting to go over the details for the law judge she threatened to fire me as a client because I had to go to a funeral for my wife’s grandfather. Then, after I received the fully favorable decision I was immediately asked to leave a review online like my case was complete however I said I would after everything is done because otherwise it would not be a complete and accurate review. I let Shannon know of my financial situation and was told there was nothing that could be done but after researching I found two available ways to potentially speed the case up. Those options were requesting a dire need and a congressional inquiry which after I performed the needed tasks to obtain I got both escalations put on my case. She showed no willingness to help me with finding anything that could potentially help speed up the case. There was 3 separate incidents that I sent a text message to Shannon and she took them completely out of context and I received very rude calls from her where she would cut me off every time I tried saying something. I requested her not to text me anymore as it was always taken out of context. Then the next update is via text to which I replied to with a request for a call as I did not understand what 80% of her message meant. Then today I get a letter from her saying that I was rude and the only contact moving forward would be text! I requested a owner/ managing partner to reach out to me three times and never received a response! I highly recommend that you stay away from Stanley law office and Shannon Doan! This is the message tread from after me requesting no text communication . The last one was sent August 5th after she was extremely rude on the phone moments before I sent that message. I will be going to my local field office Monday morning to remove her as my representative.

Response to owner… why when I requested a call from firm owner or manger partner why was I not called back? Why when I requested no more text so that Ms. Doan couldn’t miss interpret my text was that not done? Why wasn’t the dire need speed up recommended or filed for by ms. Doan? Why was it okay for her to be rude and loud with me on the phone and to cut me off anytime I tried to speak? Why couldn’t you the owner call me when requested 3 separate occasions? Thanks for also calling me a liar with your including this client when you couldn’t even be bothered to call me back any of the times I requested it so you would have been able to hear my side of the way I was treated so you could reply to this review with the particular situation of...

From day 1, I have had nothing but a positive experience with the team at Stanley Law. I was in a motorcycle accident back in October of 2019, where I suffered excruciating injuries, permanent scars, and was out of work for a good amount of time. I was initially referred an attorney by a friend at DIFFERENT law office than Stanley Law, who, for several months, had done nothing except obtain the police report from my accident. It was then, that a family member of mine told me that was absurd and that I needed to turn my case over to Mellissa Murphy, an attorney at Stanley Law. It was the best advice I could have received. The very first time I spoke with Mellissa, she spent over and hour and a half with me, answering all my questions, explained the law, and outlined in clear and understanding terms the steps in the process that needed to be done. Since that day, both Melissa and her paralegal, Kortney Burdin, have been hardworking, articulate, reassuring, knowledgeable, caring, and effective. They went above and beyond to frequently keep me updated on the stages we were at, what still needed to be done, to ensure peace of mind and to do everything in their power to fight for the outcome I deserved. IF YOU WANT THE MAXIMUM WARD FOR YOUR COMP SETTLEMENT DO NOT HIRE STANLEY LAW FIRM. THEY WILL TAKE MONEY OUT OF YOUR CHECK. CANNOT EXPLAIN WHAT IT IS FOR OR WHERE IT GOES. THEY WILL NOT ABSOLUTELY NOT GET YOU YOUR MAX SETTLEMENT. I would NEVER hire these people ever again. They screwed my husband so BAD in his workers comp case. Had more paralegals than he knew what to do with, never returned calls, didn't do paper work correct, didn't fight for all his injuries. We're taking money out of his checks, and cannot tell us why "leans against awards" it was called. They def NOT work for him. Stanley law tells you what you want to hear. To make you hire them. They fail to say they work in conjunction with a lot of the workers compensation companies. They make you think there working for you. They should be turned into the BAR ASSOCIATION.
