Salon La Bottega — Local services in City of White Plains

Nice Salon, Been in business for a long time, and when one Salon I was with closed, and the other, prices went sky high, I came back after 25+ years to La Bottega! THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW...... I had originally seen Jay when I first came back and she was great with color at first but then a very short haircut I wasn't happy with had her sending me to someone else. I was then working with Jackie. She was eager to remove the red out of my hair for a long time, so the orange phase was frustrating to us both. I called to make my usual appt. and was told Jackie "hurt her hand" and would not be back for months. I called Jackie. No C/B. Went to see Paula, but the Shampoo Assistant spent more time with me then Paula. Not happy with color. I tried Jackie again, but was told at the Salon she wasnt feeling well. Rather then finding out if Jackie was ever to return, I found out she was doing the Front Desk at their Rye location. Hmm. I took it upon myself to find a new Salon 5 min away. Owner did my hair back to it's natural color, removed the red, gave me a nice trim for my long hair and was very happy with the results. It's a shame that La Bottega could not save me as a client. I had been eyeing this salon a few times whenever I pass it walking my dog. Yesterday, I decided I'd walk in and make an appointment, which I ended up not having to do because Dora, junior stylist, was able to take me. From the outside, it looks beautiful and classy. From the inside, it's gorgeous, but also relaxing and cozy. The staff is LOVELY. They are warm, friendly and accommodating. I also really appreciated that my service dog could be with me and I didn't feel like I was being judged. Sometimes I find that salons can feel a little intimidating depending on the personalities of the staff, but everyone was so nice that it allowed me to enjoy myself and actually practice self-care, treating myself to a fresh color and cut. I must also add that I don't know what magic they do with their coffee, but it was the most delicious cappuccino I've had. Finally, I even got to meet Jon, the owner, who wasn't supposed to be there, and he was such a kindhearted man (and he loved my dog, telling me he was welcome there anytime). Two years ago, I started going to LA Bottega, because my colorist and hairstylis the moved from a different Salon. I have always wanted to have different colors in my hair and yesterday I finally got my wish. My hair looks totally amazing. If you want extension you need to go to LA Bottega. I feel like a movie star.

There are different stylist I can recommend they will be listed below, but I want to talk about Victoria, and her amazing work in my hair yesterday made me feel like a movie star and I absolutely love my hair and the extension. If I can post a picture I will show you amazing. She actually cares about her clients. I really noticed that this morning when I brushed my hair that I actually looks absolutely amazing. My expectations were blown away yesterday. Thank you Victoria.
