Ice Cream Social — Restaurant in City of White Plains

I pre-ordered a 6-inch pre made ice cream cake, but the experience was disappointing. I called the store the morning of pickup and they asked if I wanted any messages to be written on the cake. I told them that if they could write “Happy Birthday Name” I would be really happy.

However, when I went to pick it up, I was handed a container with a few scoops of ice cream in a bag with my name on it—not a cake. When I mentioned I had ordered an ice cream cake, they gave me a plain, blank cake. There was no message, no name, and no indication it was the one I had ordered. It also looked nothing like the cake on the website. The cake looked like it might have been sitting around for some time—the orange cream on the bottom was smeared and spread all over the box on the bottom.

I honestly wanted to cancel the order then and there, but since it was already the day of the birthday, I didn’t have much choice. To make things worse, when I tried to check out, they tried to charge me an additional $50, even though I had already prepaid during the pre-order. If I hadn’t been careful, I might have been charged twice.

The taste of the cake was just okay. I’m not sure if it was because the cake was old, but the smeared coating made it hard to keep its shape. This was supposed to be a special day for our family, and I was genuinely excited about the cake—but the experience ended up being quite...

My son and I were on a mission to find good quality ice cream in Westchester. One of the candidates based on the Google reviews was Ice Cream Social. We realized that there is no “best“, there are many choices that are good for their own particular reasons.

Me and my son sampled several flavors, including Vanilla, cookie dough, pistachio, and Insta graham. We decided to get the double scoop cup with Insta graham and pistachio. Insta graham seems to have won out hands-down for best flavor and texture.

We sat outside on a warm summer day under the umbrellas, and we didn’t give the ice cream much chance to melt before it was all gone!

This Brand New little Shop has both Vegan and Natural Tasting Ice Cream as well as Sorbet. No Preservatives and a very decent selection of choice. Lavender Ice Cream tastes just like the Flower. This all comes from Jane's Ice Cream Farm in upper New York. Small but on a corner of Mamaroneck Ave so has enough room for 6 Cars. They have an outside area to sit and stay awhile and very popular already. Would be Glad to go back for more!

Update: Went back in today, there in the Private Room was a Party so that would be a great place for a kids Birthday. They have pints to purchase in most flavors and we got each 2 scoups of our favorite flavors. I will say they need to figure out the parking a bit better, maybe making lines on top...
