Amy's Hallmark Shop — Local services in City of Yonkers

I was racially profiled! I bought Birthday cards and Christmas cards for my nieces and nephew like I always do in this store! I also buy gift cards either for $25 or $50 with my credit/debit card with no problems in the pass until the owner was there (Amy?). I needed to buy gift cards add up to $125. I was told that I must use cash! Now we all know that people don't walk around with lot of cash on them. I was there with my girlfriend who was also Black. We were the only Black customers at the time in the store. So I didn't make a scene but I did say that I had in the past use my credit/debit card before to buy gift cards at this Hallmark store. So I proceeded go down the street to shoprite to pick up some groceries I saw that they had gift cards there so I picked up the gift cards and proceeded to the cashier to pay with the same credit/debit card with no problems! I noticed that Staples didn't give me a problem buying gift cards with a credit/debit card. So make sure I will never step foot in Amy's Hallmark Shop again and give them my business!! Amy's Hallmark Shop is an excellent place to buy greeting cards and other items to let someone know you are thinking about them. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is very attentive, professional and helpful. One staff member in particular I would like to commend for always providing 5 star service. Her name is Ann. She greets you as soon as you walk into the store. Whenever I have seen her she is working the cash register and I never have to wait long when I am on her line. Ann makes shopping at Amy's Hallmark Shop a pure pleasure. Other staff members I don't know by name, but they too are quite efficient. I look forward to my next visit. Parking is not a problem. It's a beautiful place and the help is wonderful. I asked to bring me directly to a certain card and the young lady obliged immediately. Who could ask for more? Well, my mother and I went in to purchase birthday cards and low and behold she saw the dancing pumpkin in August and had to buy it. If you wanna find a great toy or 2 for around the house, a special gift or great cards for a birthday or any occasion, this is the place to go to.
